"You never told me you wanted me to meet anyone" she asked trying to looked at him but failing, "also darling he looks older than 17, how old is he" I cleared my throat as I put her bags in the trunk, "can you get in the car, I um.. answer all questions in the way to the apartment" she looked at me weird and got into the backseat.

She smiled at corbyn, "hello, I'm Tonya, Taylor's mother" corbyn smiled, "I'm corbyn, her boyfriend".

My mom was taken back, "your voice sounds a bit deep to be Taylor's age" I giggled and corbyn nodded "well he's um a little older" I said and looked towards my mom, she smiled and nodded

"Okay, how old is he" she asked, sitting back into the seat, I took a deep breath and bit my lip "oh sweetie don't be nervous, and don't bit that lip" my mom said taking not of my nervous Fidgets.

"Corbyn is 27 mom" her jaw dropped, "I'm sorry, I'm must have heard you working 27" she asked, her accent coming through thickly "yes" i said barely getting it out.

"Well that's a um.. number, you've been together how long" she asked, looking at corbyn through the rear view mirror, "almost a year ma'am" corbyn answered.

We were already close to my apartment, since I didn't live too far from the airport like corbyn did, "that's not all mom" she looked at me weird "what possibly could you say now"

"We recently found out that he is one of my um.. teacher" she laughed, "high school teacher, oh my I might faint" I looked at her.

"Okay darling, you love him" I nodded and she smiled "and you love her" she asked corbyn, he smiled "I really do" she nodded "I'm not going to say this is a smart decision of course as I mother I can't but, you've gotten away with it this long why the hell would I try and stop it"

"I kinda moved in with him also" my mother giggled "so I've been paying for an empty apartment" I shook my head "not really, Katlyn sleeps there" she nodded.

"Right"

After getting my mom set up in the apartment, corbyn went back to his to finish up some work and mom and I went out to dinner, "now tell me you see yourself with him in the long run" I smiled and my mom and nodded.

"Yeah I do mom, he makes me happy and I really do love him a lot" she smiled, "and his parents" "his mother doesn't really like our age gap but she says that I'm a really sweet person and if I make him happy that's all she needs in life"

My mom smiled, "this isn't a thing because I'm not there and nor is your father right" I shook my head and giggled "no god please no, I really really love corbyn and he makes me happy and I feel like we are going to be together for a really long time"

She smiled and kissed my cheek, "I'm glad baby, I really am" I smiled "you don't like us together" I said, "it's not that baby it's just maybe he is a little old"

I rolled my eyes, "mom please just don't think about it too much, he's my boyfriend that's all" she smiled and nodded, "Okay fine, that's all he is, your boyfriend."
