Bill POV (it's been a while)
I woke up the next day to a the most adorable face you could fathom. Pinetree had his face mushed into my chest, his mouth was slightly ajar letting out small puffs of air and he was holding onto my shirt like it was something to keep and be treasured. This made me almost awe at the sight. I began stroking his back with my right hand and traced patterns all over it. He had gotten more flesh on his bones in the last couple of weeks. It was wasn't much, but it was enough to not think of him as a walking skeleton. I continued to trace his spine and feel his even breaths until I could feel him stir. He blinked with those big brown eyes of his while I still continued with my calm motions. It was really fascinating watching him becoming more and more aware of his surroundings. He blinked blearily for a couple of seconds before he seemed to notice me. I grinned when he finally looked me in the eyes, I could see him trying to piece together how he ended up in my embrace, when he did, I could see recognition in his eyes. He started smiling that shy smile of his while looking down at his hands. And for once, everything was right in my world.
