Walking down the quiet and tranquil streets of Seoul, Takata Mashiho struggles to keep his chin upright, for his first day at his new school wasn't all that good.

Being socially awkward is difficult and definitely did not help him at all when he tried to tell the class about himself and stuttered from his nervousness, ate alone at the lunch table in the far corner of the cafeteria, and when he wasn't able to make a single friend or even have a full, proper conversation with anyone at school.

He mentally scolded himself for staying in his boring, old comfort zone. He promised himself he would try to paint himself differently now that he had the chance to go somewhere where he could restart, but turns out, he already flopped on the first day.

After pondering for too long, Mashiho finally looked up at the sky as he walked, he stared at the pink-orange skies, the white fluffy clouds, and the groups of birds that flew around in circles.

Suddenly, he felt something touch his foot, quickly looking down, he realized he had accidentally kicked a baseball.

'See, this is why you should always look down.' Thought Mashiho as he watched the baseball roll itself on the ground and stop after it hit a glass panel.

Mashiho looked up, and saw a little tiny cafe, with a brown wooden floor, concrete walls, decorated with a bunch of pretty paintings, with the ceiling that hung pots of different herbs that added to the aesthetic, and the big glass door that displayed the cute and warm-looking interior of the cafe.

Taking interest in the cafe, Mashiho decided he would maybe grab a little cup of coffee for himself, or maybe some pastries if they looked delicious.

He bent down and grabbed the baseball and pushed the heavy glass door to get inside. The strong and pungent smell of coffee immediately invaded his nostrils. Making him want coffee even more. So after looking around, he spotted the little corner where the cashier sat, who was busy talking to his little barista friend.

Walking over to the cashier, Mashiho shyly waved to the boy and caught his attention, the latter immediately turning his chair around to face him.

"Good afternoon, welcome to our little cafe! What can I get for ya?"

Mashiho's nervousness quickly rushed in his stomach, making him gulp before he actually spoke up.

"I'll have uhh... a small caramel macchiato p-please."

'Dammit, why do I always stutter?' He thought as he handed his money to the cashier.

"Your name sir?" The latter asked, a cup on one hand, and a marker on the other.

"Mashiho."

Hearing his customer's name, the cashier looked over to Mashiho, and unconsciously put on a smile.

"That's a nice name, I like it."

Mashiho's cheeks started heating up as he avoided eye contact with the boy and waited for his change.

"Th-thanks... I guess."

Before he could squeeze his eyes in fear, he saw a hand hover in front of him.

"I'm Junkyu, Kim Junkyu."

Mashiho gazed at the hand before he looked directly at Junkyu with a confused expression on his face.

"Do I not get any change?"

This time, it was Junkyu who got confused, but he was soon giggling after realizing.

"It's a handshake, never done that before?"

Mashiho became even more nervous after hearing what Junkyu said, he felt so stupid. Why couldn't he realize it was a handshake?

"Oh, sorry." He quietly said as he took the other boy's hand and shook it. It was nice, soft and warm. And weird. Why did he like that?

After the mess, Mashiho finally got his change and waited for his coffee. He didn't really take interest in any of their pastries since they weren't that appetizing to him. He looked around the cafe once more, until his eyes landed on his right hand, realizing he had been holding the baseball in it since he picked it up.

He placed it down on the counter as he watched Junkyu take the coffee from the barista. "Wait, but I was supposed to serve that." Said the barista. Which was then followed by a "Shhh" from Junkyu. Who was now walking over to Mashiho.

"Here's your caramel macchiato. Enjoy!"

Mashiho shyly took the cup from Junkyu's hand and bowed to say thank you.

"Nice to meet you Mashiho, I hope to see you soon some time again!" Junkyu said as he watched Mashiho walk outside.

"W-wait! You left your baseball!"

"Nevermind he's already running away."

"Cute."
