a/n: yes, i'm finally back with this book. this isn't a super popular work, but i really love its concept and i have the general plot written out so i'm just going to finish it.
a note:
the two protagonists will never be named by name. they do not have a name and i do not plan on giving them a name. they will always be referred to in pronouns.
the language is extremely simple on purpose. just trying out a new style.
so yay! please vote/comment/share if you like ~

he found another girlfriend named milena a day after the promise and stopped hanging out with her. it was fine, she didn't mind too much. she was used to being alone. still, it hurt to walk three blocks home in the snow by herself. she tried her best not to look at the spot where she was found by him and those tattered vans, but there was no smiling boy to help distract her.
one day he came to find her at lunch in the library, where she was diligently doing her homework.
"you forgot about me," she said. it wasn't meant to be rude or angry, but some pent-up emotion she hadn't realized she was holding in came bubbling up. "where have you been?"
he smiled bitterly. "i'm sorry."
she sighed. "you forgot about our promise that we would help each other. but it's okay. as long as you're helping yourself."
people are always temporary in life, she mused as she finished her homework. you can live without anyone. still, no matter how much she tried, she missed the boy with tattered vans with snow dusting his eyelashes.
