The Mathews Sisters.
Kayden couldn't believe this was happening.
She'd taken hold of the Nico guy's arm when he'd offered it. Suddenly they were in a world of darkness, where strange things hissed at her though nothing seemed to touch her. She felt weightless, foggy. Like she was nothing, and everything all at once.
They were going very fast, but slow at the same time. She was starting to feel faint, then it ended suddenly. She stumbled forward.
Nico gripped her arms to steady her, then ripped his hands away like he'd been burned. Kayden thought nothing of it, she was too preoccupied with her surroundings.
They'd arrived at the site of a dying campfire. Logs and seats were scattered around it. Footprints littered the sandy ground. Kayden looked off into the distance and saw what she thought must be Long Island Sound, but she wasn't sure.
She saw cabins forming a rough half circle in the distance. They weren't ordinary, they were spectacular.
One was golden, softly glowing in the moonlight. Another looked like a beach house, and yet another looked like a witches house. One was pure silver glowing in the moonlight.
The fields in the distance were bare, but Kayden felt sure that in the summer they were extremely fertile and beautiful. The entire scene was dazzling.
Kayden realized that Nico was watching her reaction, his dark eyes glimmering in the dark. She shivered in the freezing air. The wind blowing off of the water chilled her to the bones.
“Where are we?” Kayden asked, her voice in a low whisper.
Nico smiled grimly. “Camp Half-Blood. It's a training facility for... Special people like you and me.”
Kayden cocked an eyebrow. “And what does it have to do with Greek Mythology?”
They were walking towards a large farmhouse that Kayden had overlooked.
“It has everything to do with it. But they're not myths.” Nico replied.
Kayden shivered.
“Than everything that's happened to my sister and me has been real? It wasn't something out of our imagination?” She asked.
“It depends,” Nico said lightly. “If you're actually crazy then we'll send you to Mr. D. If you're just a unlucky demigod, than you'll be fine here.”
“Demigod?” Kayden asked. “Mr. D.?”
