Chapter 31 [FINAL CHAPTER!!!!]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One Month Later
"Ian" I murmured sitting down next to him taking a bite out of my cereal as I stared at the TV screen and watched the news. He turned his gaze from the TV taking a bite out of his cereal, waiting for me to speak and I whispered "I want to see her grave"
His eyes widened as he inhaled his cereal, and coughed clearing his throat before speaking softly. "Are you sure?" I stared at him nodding and he breathed out. "Okay. We'll leave after we finish eating Okay?" I nodded again starting to eat the cereal in silence again.
Ian turned up the news louder as he took another bite out of his food and it blared into my ears as the news reporter spoke. "The court date has passed, and 16 year old Alexx, Kaden's was sentenced to Anger Management, For two years for trying to murder 17 year old Kaden Iron and his girlfriend Kaylee Williams"
But they were wrong. I wasn't ever really his girlfriend at all. He doesn't really love me, he just wanted Ian's sister Emily back. He just never realized that he couldn't get her back at all, she was dead and always would be.
Sighing I stood up walking into the kitchen and placing the empty bowl and spoon in the sink.
"Ready to go?" Ian asked softly as I stared at the TV screen silently still beside the sink. A lump formed in my throat and i tried to swallow it, tears forming in my eyes. Meeting Ian's Gaze I hesitantly nodded before speaking.
"yeah just wait one sec" my voice craccked when i said 'Wait' And i hurried up the stairs stepping into my room before he could protest. I shut the door quietly behind me looking around the room and i stared.
This room that was once filled with dreams was filled with nothing.
I walked forward reaching my dresser drawer, and opened it slowly almost hesitantly. Watching as the sealed white envelope appeared and I reached forward scooping it out of the drawer and then staring down at it.
The name was scribbled across it, in my neatest writing I could manage and was stained with a few dried tear drops.
It had finally come- the day I would realize and tell the truth to the only person that would keep it. Shaking my head I wiped away the tear that wished to fall..
The truth that wished to be told-
So long.
"Kaylee You ready?" Ians voice echoed through the door and it was tapped twice, before I turned my eyes to it quickly shoving the envelope in my pocket.
"Ye..ah one sec" I said hiding the envelope better in my pocket and shutting the drawer. "Lets go" I called as I opened my bedroom door and walked out leaving the memories of him behind.
++
I stared down at the grave, my eyes watering as the wind blew and the flowers that had been laid on them shifted back and forth.
It was the anniversary of her death.
I stared down at the grave not moving and breathed out. This girl- the cause of everything that hurt me, was right below this stone and staring down at it I couldn't be mad. I wasn't mad, I wanted to blame this girl for everything but its not true.
