Late Night Talk

"She would sneak into my room everynight and talk to me until she fell asleep and I won't." Kim Jisoo on Star Road, 2018

Jisoo jumped on her bed, face first. "Ah, finally." She said and quickly crawled inside the blankets.

"Unnie! Unnie!" She heard the voice she always loved. Suddenly, she felt how the end of her bed sinked.

It's Jennie.

"Unnie, are you asleep already?" Jennie asked her and crawled beside her. "No, I'm just about to, though." She answered looking at the younger girl's silhouette because of her lights' turned off.

"Good. It's time for my late night talks." Jennie giggled at the end.

Jisoo nodded in agreement and patted Jennie's head even though she knew how it will end.

"I'm so happy today, Unnie." Jennie started and shifted her position, moving a little closer to Jisoo to feel the older's heat.

"Hmm." Jisoo responsed, indicating Jennie that she's listening.

"Blinks are so excited about our upcoming concert. I can't wait to show them my special stage." Jennie continued while Jisoo only nodded.

"I wonder what they'll say about my special stage." Jennie stated and shifted her position once again.

"I know they'll love it. You're Jennie, for pete's sake. They love you." Jisoo told Jennie.

And I love you, Jisoo said mentally.

She yawned right after making Jennie giggled.

"Are you sleepy now, unnie?" Jennie asked looking at her eyes.

"No, no. You can continue." Jisoo said. "Are you sure?" Jennie asked.

"Uh huh, so continue your story. I'm thrilled to hear the next thing you're going to say." Jisoo said. "Aww, this is why I love you, unnie." Jennie said, hugging Jisoo.

"Stop being so cheesy, Jennie Kim. Continue your story."

"You must be so excited about my story, huh." Jennie teased her. "So, the real reason about my happiness today is, Kai and I are going to a date tomorrow, unnie. You know how I missed him, right?" There it goes, the part of their late night talks that she hates the most.

This Kai part of their late night talks. How Jennie always tell her how Kai is so loving and caring to her. How she's really inlove with the latter. How Kai makes her heart flutter taht makes Jisoo's heart shatter.

Ironic shit.

"Uh, yeah. Ofcourse, you had been telling me how you missed him for a week already." Jisoo said tried not to let Jennie notice the sadness in her tone.

"Anyways, we are going to this pet café. Not the one Chaeyoung, Lisa and I went to. It's way bigger and more dogs are there. Kai really knows what I like. I already imagined my future with him, unnie." Jennie added. Jisoo noticed how Jennie's tone change into a whole whipped girlfriend.

"Yeah, your future is great with him." Jisoo said. "That's not it, unnie. We are also going to a jewelry making shop. Like the one we went to during BlackPink House. He said he's going to make a couple necklace for us. How sweet of him, right?" Jisoo only nodded to Jennie.

"Yes, he's sweet." Jisoo noticed how her toned lowered and you can definitely noticed how hurt she is just by the tone. But Jennie didn't noticed it, because all she can think is Kai.

Kai. Kai. Kai. That guy that made her mandu fell so deep.

Jisoo loves Jennie, even more than Dalgom. Yes, Jennie's that powerful. But she's not the one Jennie loves. Which she painfully accepted because that's all she can do as her bestfriend.

Bestfriend, that's all she is to Jennie. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a bestfriend. A bestfriend that's willing to listen to all Jennie's love talks and rants even though her heart is breaking.

Yes, she knows she's a masochist. But that's all she can do. That's all she have with Jennie.

"Unnie, don't you think Kai and I are going to last?" Jennie asked her.

"I think so. I wish your relationship will really last. Because he makes you happy. He makes you feel complete. He makes your heart flutter. He makes you fall asleep at night feeling loved. He makes you forget all the hate you've been recieving. He makes you realize that your completely enough." Jisoo answered.

Which I can't do all of that, Jisoo thought.

"He's the perfect guy for you." Jisoo ended.

"And I am not" Jisoo mumbled.

Jisoo looked at the younger who's asleep by the time she ended.

Now how can I sleep so peacefully now that you made me feel hurt again?
