PG-13 RATING FOR THIS CHAPTER DUE TO REFERENCES TO MATURE SUBJECT MATTER.

During the 3rd round, after I had taken a shot of tequila (disgusting by the way), told Ethan a dirty secret, and most recently, chugged what was left of my beer. It was Lucas’s turn next. He got ‘dirty whisper’. He spun the bottle, and it landed on... me? That can’t be right I thought. It was our first interaction of the night.

I leaned over. “Meet me in our room in five minutes. Don’t make it look like you followed me.” He whispered.

Surprised was an understatement. I was bewildered.

Lucas yawned loudly. “Well guys I think I’m gonna head in. I’m exhausted from all that canoeing. See you all in the morning!” He waved us off and went inside. I didn’t really pay attention for the 5 minutes after he left. Roger had to do a body shot off of Ethan, Mahira had to whisper something she loved about Roger’s body while he was out of the room, but that’s really all I remember. When five minutes was up, I got up, gathered my clothes and shoes and made some excuse to leave. Everybody was having such a blast that they really didn’t notice. I went inside and crept upstairs and into our room. Lucas was on the bed, reading a book.

“Hey, uh, you wanted me up here?” I asked awkwardly.

“Yeah yeah, please come sit.” He said, sitting up on the side of the bed.

I sat down next to him. I wondered if he could hear my heartbeat in my ears.

“Alright, Audrey. I’m gonna say this, no holding back. If you don’t like what I’m saying, please stop me before I embarrass myself further?” He pleaded.

I nodded, my saliva instantly becoming impossible to swallow.

“After my second girlfriend, you told me that staying single for awhile wasn’t so bad. I didn’t believe you, so I went and found another girlfriend before anyone could blink. That was the worst idea of my life. It ended so quickly because I was rushing things, trying to prove I didn’t need my old girlfriend anymore. I should have listened to you. I didn’t. I apologize for that. After Melanie broke up with me, I was lost. You were busy with school and applying for that internship, and what I really needed was someone to tell me that it wasn’t my fault. But it was my fault. I should have gone to you and let you warn me that my actions were getting me into trouble. I didn’t want to accept that. I didn’t want to accept that I was a failure with women!”

“But Lucas, you’re not a fail-” I began.

“Wait, I’m not finished. All those times we helped each other out, we said, one day our perfect someone will come along. The person who gets us. The person who is our other half would present themselves to us, and we just had to recognize it was them. All these years, I have been looking right at her. I was just too stupid to realize. Audrey, it’s you.”

I was breathtaken. Speechless. I didn’t know what to say.

“Now, if you’ll excuse me, there is something that I have wanted to do for many years, and it’s all I’ve been thinking about this weekend.” I looked into his gorgeous eyes. I got lost in them. He caressed my cheek. He leaned in, then, he kissed me. Fireworks exploded in front of my eyes. Beautiful bursts of purple, orange, yellow and red. I lifted my face towards him and leaned in for more. He gladly gave it. His hand fell from my face to my neck, bringing me as close to him as possible, deepening the kiss. Suddenly, I broke away.

“Lucas, I need you to know that I have loved you for four years now, and it feels like I have waited an eternity for this moment.” I said.

“That’s it?” Lucas said.

“Yeah.” I chuckled.

“Good, now I can get back to kissing you!” Lucas laughed, leaning in for another kiss. This one was less serious, more smiles.

“Can we move? Twisting my back like this is uncomfortable..” I said.

“Of course!” Lucas scooted back and sat against the headboard of the bed. I followed and straddled his lap. I let out a breath that felt like I had been holding in for the past four years.

“Better?” He asked, placing his hands on my hips.

“Much better!” I giggled. I took his face in my hands and kissed him. His hands were on my hips, moving up and down my back. He lifted the back of my shirt, begging to take it off. I broke the kiss and pulled it off.

“You have the most wonderful body I have ever seen in my life” Lucas said. I laughed loudly.

“May I?” He asked, slightly pulling on my bikini top strings.

He yanked it off eagerly. “I am the luckiest guy in the world right now...”

“Hey now, this is hardly fair! Here I am shirtless and you’ve got all your clothes on!” I said, lifting his hands off. I yanked off his shirt and bit my lip.

“Like what you see?” Lucas said, grinning.

“You never told me you had a six pack! I was delightfully surprised when you pulled it off this morning. You made me forget how to think.” I winked at him. I ran my fingers down his chest, very lightly scraping my nails against his abs. Lucas shuddered and moved my hands.

“That tickles!”

I laughed. I kissed his lips again, then started moving down his body, leaving a trail of light kisses down his body, and stopping at the top of his jeans. I took his belt buckle in my hands and undid it, then his button, then his fly. I went all the way back up and starting kissing his lips again.

“Can we ditch the rest of these clothes?” He pleaded.

“Who needs clothes anyways?” I agreed. I got off his lap and let him pull off his pants. I lied back down on the bed while he lied down on top of me. He gave me another passionate kiss. I grabbed his shoulders and pulled as close to him as I could. He moved to my neck, that was always a sweet spot for me. I gasped quietly. I could feel Lucas grinning against my neck. It was his turn to tease me, kissing all the way down my body, and pulling off my bottoms agonizingly slow. I was a little self conscious, so my first instinct was to turn away. Lucas turned my head to look back into his eyes.

“Audrey, you’re gorgeous. I don’t know how I even managed to get to this point with you after making you wait four years. But I promise I will make you feel the best you have ever felt, and will ever feel. Do you trust me?” He asked.

I nodded, lost in his eyes again. “You have wonderful eyes...” I said.

He chuckled, “I get that a lot. But has anyone ever told you how beautiful your eyes are?

“Nope, this is a first!” I smiled.

“THey are absolutely gorgeous. They change color a lot. Sometimes they’re green, sometimes they’re light brown. It’s fascinating. But the anticipation is killing me now so can we get this show back on the road?”

I nodded eagerly, seeing his eyes swirl with lust. I can only imagine mine were doing the same. He began to kiss me all over again while he took off his boxers. I can’t say I was surprised, but it was bigger than I imagined it. He brought his lips back to mine and started heating it up again. His hands were wrapped around my slightly arched back, running up and down my spine. I massaged his shoulders and squeezed his muscles. Suddenly, Matchbox Twenty began to play out of my dock! He smiled mischievously at my reaction.

I smiled. “Why’d you turn that on?”

He said, “I want this night to be special for both of us. Everytime you play that CD, I want you to think of me. For the next five million times we listen to it together, I’ll think of the happiest night of my life” He winked. I laughed again. “Now, relax, and let me show you just how much I have wanted to do this for the past four years.” He said, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.
