Mazoku Oni Amaterasu is just a regular nineteen-year-old living her best life. She's been a consistent honor student in Academy's Genesis, a science-inclined curriculum since her primary years until her current 3rd year— always in the top ten of her class, a young self-made businesswoman— being the owner of the most successful mainstream coffee shop in Tokyo, and even housing fifteen franchises all over Japan, and a skilled athlete— deemed by Youth World Basketball as the best among superior players in the league called the Paragon Six.
Contrary to what most people might think, the girl wasn't stuck up, despite her academic, financial, and athletic standing.
She's laid back, with the exception of her personality being that of a tsundere and a kuudere.
The protagonist sighs as she leans against her palm, with her elbow flexed atop the table. Her hair fell onto her shoulders in straight black tendrils, heterochromatic obsidian and sterling gray eyes blankly staring outside the glass walls of the café.
The Spring inter-high cup was coming in a week. This is going to be the last Spring league she could join before she graduates this academic year. After spring, there's the winter cup, but after that, it's goodbye to high school tournaments.
Don't get her wrong, it's not the end of her career. With her paramount skills, she has collegiate tournaments and international leagues waiting for her when she graduates. However, she can't help but worry for her school's soon-to-be standing in the leagues when she leaves.
"Acho-sama~" An annoying voice pierced through her skull, making a tick mark appear on her forehead.
Fact: Mazoku's parents call her Ma-cho-kou. Her nickname is Acho, and since it's a mouthful to keep calling her by her surname and her full name, everyone she acknowledges is allowed to call her Acho. Otherwise, they address her by her surname, Amaterasu.
The always-annoyed Mazoku's eye twitched as she immediately identified the identity of her guests because she smelled the familiar cheesecake scents of her classmates and teammates since primary school.
"Acho-nee~" The other one called out as she waved lazily.
The twins with vibrant orange hair appeared in front of the coffee shop owner with different expressions on their faces.
The one who had her orange hair in twin braids looked at her with a catlike expression on her face as she sipped on an iced caramel macchiato from Maō Coffee, also known as the coffee shop owned by the protagonist.
Shion Hitachiin, the 6'1 tall 18-year-old power forward of Yūshū Academy's basketball team has been Mazoku's teammate since primary school, along with her twin, Shiori. Her hair is often in twin braided pigtails. She loves telenovelas, K-drama, and Starflix series and movies.
The other one with a lazy smile on her face had her hair in a single-ponytailed braid and sipped on her iced matcha latte sluggishly.
Shiori Hitachiin, Shion's twin, is the 6'1 tall small forward of Yūshū Academy basketball team. Her hair is often in a single-ponytailed braid. You'll often see her eating and drinking society's most hated food and drinks. To her, food is food, a drink is a drink – there are people that are starving, so she takes it upon herself to be grateful for everything she gets.
Mazoku took one look at the twins and deadpanned. "Out."
She pointed towards the entrance of her coffee shop.
Shion blinked, before breaking down in anime tears and dramatically falling to her knees as she wailed, "Uwaaaah~ did I do anything wrong Acho-sama~?"
