chapter 6

After weeks of training.... It was finally time to fight... You and Seidou were in the armourment room getting changed... When the fear began to hit you hard... You felt a weight on your chest as you strapped on your boots.

You turned to face Seidou who was visibly shaken up... He was shaking as he held his Quinique in hand...

You got up and hugged him tightly...

Y/n: Listen baby... I didn't want to ever have to do this or say this... but if it comes to it w-where you or me d-don't  come back... You say clenching your fist trying to hold back your tears, you reach into your pocket and take out a silver ring...

Y/n: k-keep this ring on you at all times o-okay? So if one of us... you couldn't help it anymore and you burried your face in Seidou's armoured chest and cried, not caring if someone heard...

Seidou: I won't leave you! I'll keep fighting no matter what, I'll make sure you are safe and we come home together after this! He says beginning to cry himself and takes the ring and slips it on his finger...

We just stand there sobbing, holding eachother tight... Until Hoji san enters and pats us each on the back...

Hoji: It's time...

He then turns around to lead us to the armoured vehicles...

The whole way there it was just silence between my and Seidou as we held hands...

We had been waiting at least 20 minutes before we were told to quickly make our way to our stations... Those minutes were full of tension... I dispised every second of it...

We were then all told to leave the vehicle swifly and we did just that...

Just as everyone began running off to their stations (you and Seidou had different ones, although they were relatively close...) you pulled seidou towards you and gave him a kiss and looked at him with teary eyes...

Seidou: *hugs* I love you... I promise we'll be okay... he says with tears threatening to fall...

Y/n: I love you too... I say as I hold his hand as I begin to walk away... As I feel his hand slipping out of my grip I feel tears running down my face, as I look back once more before running off with my squad...

There was no easing into the fight... We were straight in... It was my first time using my Quinique...
I was so nervous... I stood in my position, I then directed my gaze towards the sky and what I saw shook me to the core...
It must had been dozens of red eyes looking down on our squad... They must have not noticed me looking up...

I look down and grip my Quinique, and say to myself, "it's now or never... I'll make my parents proud!"
I then release my Quinique and stop dead in my tracks realizing that this was the one that Arima used to execute the ghouls that killed my parents...

I gripped my Quinique tighter as I bit my lip trying to hold back my tears...
I look up and move to my squad leader...

Y/n: *whispers* Sir, dozons of them up top... I say as discretely as possible...

My squad leader nods and releases his quinique signalling the rest of the squad to do the same...

Then all the ghouls jumped down at once and began sprinting towards us...

I run up to the front and use my quinique to slash through 2 of them at once... They both drop to the ground...

I then continue to move ahead leaving my squad in awe and pure shock, for the innocent, shy girl they knew disappeared... and became something completely alien to them...
