A Rather Bittersweet Yet Still A Happy Ending

By that time that Aichi Sendou confessed his overwhelming romantic feelings to Kourin Tatsunagi, things became even more distant and undeniably depressing. The atmosphere between them became so grey that even their friends around them was greatly affected by it.

Toshiki Kai watched as Aichi fought against him, and he noticed that the blunette was so out of himself he misplayed the whole match between the two of them. Much to Kai's annoyance, he wanted to slam his hands down the table and make Aichi go out from his train of thoughts and overwhelming emotions; yet he isn't that much of a violent person.

Aichi was looking down, he could easily have an actual breakdown at this point. Since he thought that Kourin, the only person that he wants to love romantically grew more distant from him.

It felt like you're trying to chase the most impossible thing to own with your own hands.

Aichi looked at Kai, he gave an earnest smile and respectfully bowed for a good match and quickly left Card Capital. He just wanted to get away and go home, he wants to know how he can get out of this feelings.

The last time Aichi was close with Kourin was the time that Kourin was so in love with him yet he didn't know that she was. And it was, coincidentally, that he also had a huge crush on her.

But his slowness and doubt to himself made him lose all those chance! Stupid Aichi!

His mind scolded him and he walked back to his home.

That day, when Kourin was called by Aichi and he confessed his feelings to her, Kourin couldn't believe it. She wanted to reply to Aichi about what she also felt but she couldn't make up to what exactly just happened back there.

Did he seriously just said that he loves her? Her ears was not mishearing, right? She didn't damage her ears during a live show! What was that that she just heard from him!

Of all people!

Aichi Sendou?!

Kourin's world stopped, it felt like everything had just stopped there. She didn't know why, why is it that when she's about to completely move on from him, that's where his true feelings would appear? She can't believe it either.

When Aichi suddenly left, she knew that he couldn't take it all. It felt like he was holding back for so long that it felt like he's about to die.

Kourin felt bad, and also felt like her heart was pricked with a thousand needles.

And so, everything was completely off in between the two.

Kourin would always be either ignoring him or if their eyes would meet, they'd look away as quickly as possible.

It hurt her.

And of course in Aichi's part, it hurt him too.

The Miyaji Cardfight Club members (including the Middle School) gathered together, and they were having matches against each other.

"Alright! Whoever wins will have to have a date with each other on a café!" Naoki suddenly exclaimed, "This is gonna be a tag team so let's draw and if you picked the same color as the other, you two will be paired."

"Alright! Let's do it." Shingo said and they all started to draw on the sticks.

Misaki then looked at the two; specifically Aichi and Kourin who still tried to ignore each other. Misaki thought that if the two would be paired, they can talk and fix everything they planned.
