That.. was one long sleep.
Blink
Alice's voice from the distance yelling at Dorothy. Perfectly normal.
Blink
Dorothy skipping along the corridor holding strange items. Perfectly normal.
Blink
Tinker Bell chasing after Dorothy suspecting she's up to something. Perfectly normal.
Blink
Dorothy inches from my face, with a small box of explosives placed comfortably on my chest, a matchstick lit in her hand. Perfectly normal.
Wait what?
"Dorothy what the hell?"
I immediately spring up and upset the explosives, scrambling them on the floor. Dorothy bursts into a mischievous laugh.I'm in a wooden room with bright morning light coming from a lone window. There's ambient chirping of nature's creatures filling the air with a relaxing melody. I'm wearing some sort of plain white pajamas.
This must be some sort of hospital.Oh that's right, the whole skirmish with Wulfrum. No wonder I'm here...
Alice and Tinker Bell walk into the room.
"Oh, he's up"Alice was wearing loose-fitting marine blue clothing and her hair was tied up. I guess she borrowed some clothes. Dorothy too, had on a different colour scheme - orange and black, if I processed it correctly.
Tinker Bell looks embarrassed.
"Dorothy... don't do that to poor Jack"Dorothy gathers her crackers and snickers as she takes them out of the room behind the girls.
"Sorry about that. Dorothy's been wanting to do that since yesterday"
Uh what?
"Wait, Bell.. did you say yesterday?"
"Y-yeah..."
"How long was I out?"
"A day and a half?"
"A DAY AND A HALF?"
"Calm down, boy", says an unreserved Alice.
"That isn't possible... All I did was get a few cuts here and there"
"The doc says you lost a lotta blood. I'm no scientist and I have no idea what logic, but you were in a coma for that long. That's all there is to it"
Tinker Bell adjusts the curtains in the room and reveals more of the bright scenery.
"It's the 5th of Befruary. The sun's shining. You must've been out for quite a while. Surely you're hungry"
My stomach speaks for me and grumbles.
"Yeah, lunch wouldn't be so bad"My body doesn't ache anymore and with few shoulder rotations and jumps, I'm ready to go. The cuts and bruises seem to have partially healed but they don't sting anymore.
"You're gonna go in that ridiculous outfit?"
"What am I supposed to do? I'm in the infirmary"
"Well, we can go pick clothes later. Let's get going, they're all waiting for us"
"I'm sorry, who?"
"Oh just a small gathering of people, awaiting their "hero's" presence"
Oh so they did care.
