Who's She?

Finn's POV

"Who was that?" Caleb asks me as I get in the van.

The Stranger Things cast had been nominated for an Emmy Award and we were all pretty excited to win. This year has been pretty great to us, especially to me because I've gotten so many things done in this past year and felt feelings for a girl that I've grown up with. But I haven't quite gone up to her and confessed them.

"Yeah who was that Finn?" Grace jokingly questioned along with Caleb.

"Who are you talking about?" I said knowing damn well what they were talking about.

"That girl in the gas station obviously." Gaten points out while looking at his phone texting his girlfriend Liz. I've grown fond of Liz ever since she began dating Gaten. I'm glad he found someone who loves him for the way he is.

"Wow geez Gaten. Great way to point it out.. Such a great help." I sarcastically said with a roll in my eyes.

"I think she's cute." Noah casually says looking out the window looking at her walk out of the gas station. Noah was the type of guy to see the small details in the girls he finds attractive. Freckles, birthmarks, eyes, etc. He's a cool guy.

"Yeah. I love her brown hair. Has a very aesthetic touch to it." Millie adds to Noah's statement about the girl.

"Well you all are in luck cause I invited her to our hotel to hang out with us for a while. She's headed to Cali as well." I say munching on my snacks that I had previously bought.

"WHAT??  NO WAY. " Noah and Caleb yell out.

"Uh yes way. Her and her friend I think are coming over cause they're moving to Cali for a new start I guess," I close my water bottle (that keeps him growing like a damn tree uwu) and look between Caleb and Noah.
"Maybe you guys can get along with them and make some new friends.. " I mutter under my breath but loud enough for them to hear.

"HEY! I have ENOUGH friends to hang around with. The only friend you have is your guitar and that piece of paper you write your lyrics on." Noah exclaims.

"Yeah those plus Myra." I say correcting him in the mean time.

"OH SO SHE HAS A NAME???" Millie leans foward as do Noah, Grace and Caleb.

"Uh yeah, " I scoff. "Everyone has names." I finish saying and look to Sadie for help.

"He's right you guys. She's just someone he met at the gas station and had a conversation with. Totally normal." Sadie says as she continues reading her book.

"Wow. Very helpful." I put a hand over my chest and give her a look as if I'm hurt.

"Sorry" She mouths as Millie and Noah start arguing about what else I know about her and her friend with Grace.

The road seems to be getting longer and my eyes start to close slowly as the sun starts to set. I turn off my phone after posting a very weird tweet asking if we're almost there yet and the comments start flooding in.

"Hey you"

I turn my head slightly and see Grace looking at me with her hazle eyes. The lighting looks great on her as always. I could get used to seeing her like this.

"Hey what's up?" I ask and start sitting up.

"No no no. Lay back down. Just wanted to check up on my best friend. " She chuckles slightly and starts getting comfortable at the seat next to me.

Haha... Best friend.. Nice.

"Oh okay. I was just about to go to sleep but I don't mind staying up with you. " I say hinting dramatically hard for her to notice.

"No that's okay. I was going to go bother Sadie anyways. Shes been reading that book for too long I think she needs to spend quality time with humans haha." Grace laughs and I laugh along. Not because she's funny but I wanted her to feel like I'm very interested in what she was saying. Sorry not sorry.

She heads towards the back of the van and taps on Sadie's nose and makes a small boop noise.

I turn back and start looking at the desert ahead of me. The sunsets color makes this desert look way too beautiful. My mind starts drifting to sleep then the image of the girl at the gas station strangely appears lastly.

"What's your name? "

"My names Finn. "

How'd you like this chapter?? I know it's short but hey.. At least I got something done. I had recently deleted the previous chapters cause they were pure cringe and so last year (haha wink wink. It's January 1st 2019 just so we're clear)
So I decided to recreate the whole story and plot. I got one of those urges that reads a story and wants to create one myself.

Anyways, I hope this gets the love and attention it deserves cause I put my entire headache and heartache into it while procrastinating.
