You walked up to your apartment door groggily. You were super exhausted from the very stressful day. So much happened, though it was in such a short time period. First your meeting with Overwatch, then getting job, accidently winking at Ms. Ziegler, and having to walk home alone in the dark, in heels.
Your hand reached into your bag, searching through it's main pocket for your key. Shit... you suddenly remembered that Ms. Ziegler took your key, for god knows what, but it made you anxious.
A sigh escaped your lips, you bowed your head in defeat, you would probably need to sleep outside your door. You grabbed the handle to your door and pushed anyways, even though you knew you locked it when you left.
The door slowly opened, which made you back up a bit in shock. But-.. I-I.. I know I locked it..?
You regained your posture and slowly walked into the room, preparing in case someone broke in. But as you entered, nothing had changed, and with a quick few glances you were able to calm yourself down, seeing no one else present.
Though you did notice something odd, it sat right on the window sill you played your guitar on every night. You slowly closed the door and locked it behind you. Cautiously, you walked up to it, examining it a bit closer.
It was a vase full of white roses, the same type Ms. Ziegler gave you earlier at the club. The rose she gave you before you quickly through out in the trash as soon as you read the tag, and now there was more of them, a lot more of them.
In front of the vase your key to your apartment sat, looking completely untouched from when you gave it to Overwatch. You picked up the key, checking go make sure they didn't do anything to it before putting it back in your bag.
You looked over to the vase of roses, opening the window, knowing you should get rid of it immediately. So you picked up the vase which was heavy from the water inside, and you dropped it out the window.
A loud cracking noise erupted as the vase hit the ground. Something about the noise caused you to shiver, for some reason it sounded more like a high pitched scream then glass breaking when it shattered to pieces.
You closed the window and the curatains then backed up slowly. You just wanted to sleep, so you didn't bother getting dressed into different clothes or taking a shower, you could do that in the morning. You kicked off your heels and jumped onto your bed, instantly passing out.
---
The sunlight seeped into your apartment, waking you up. A groan left your lips as you looked up to the clock that hung above your stove. It showed it was 8 o' clock, though it didn't really matter since you had no idea what you were going to do today.
You hoped that you could find a second job, one to do during the day, maybe a general store or something like that. You sat up, your blankets and sheets messily covering you legs. You rubbed you're eyes and yawned, stretching your limbs a bit.
After a few seconds you finally hopped out of your bed. You picked out a simple knee lengthed pale green dress, though you sighed at the choice. You knew you were going to have to wear dresses a lot more often now because of 'looking the part'.
A shiver hit you as a cold breeze from outside flowed into the room from the window. You turned around, confused, knowing you shut the window last night. Also you shut the curtains, yet direct light came in.
The curtains were opened all the way and the window was pushed open completely. There on the window sill sat a vase of white roses, identical to the ones from last night.
