Chapter 4: Surprise Meeting

Based off of what Mr. Park told me, I think the CEO needs to talk to me for some reason. I hope it's nothing bad.

I decided to sleep on it and think about it tomorrow. I'm worried that it's about me leaving the music company.

I don't want to leave the company. This is my dream job and I'm training for it still. I can do this.

I got a bad dream about this meeting Mr. Park is talking about.

The dream

The loud speaker said "Could Lydia Vacino come to the CEOs office please?"

I heard my name being called and becoming more and more nervous, I slowly walked down to the CEOs office.

I've only been there once and I'm afraid that it's about me leaving the music industry.

I finally got to the CEOs office

Me: Did you need to talk to me?
CEO: yes
Me: what about?
CEO: your path ahead of you, do you think your good enough to become a musician?
Me: yes, I think I can be good enough to become a musician if I continue down this route and work hard
CEO: alright, I have bad news for you then.
Me: What are you trying to say?
CEO: I'm sorry to say this, even though you trained for 5 years, I don't think you're good enough to become a musician and make your own music.
Me: Please let me stay, I promise I'll work harder and make you believe I can, please
CEO: sorry I can't do anything about this. You are leaving in 2 days, sorry

I woke up crying in the middle of the night. I tried to fall back asleep and I can't, so I went to the practice room to practice choreographing.

I practiced until the morning. I am so tired and want to sleep.

However this is when Mr. Park came in and told me "The CEO wants to talk to you".

I slowly walked out of the room and to the CEOs office.

CEO: I want to give you a good opportunity that Banana Company has asked for. The CEO needs a backup dancer for their new group called Nine Percent. They only need one and they chose one from each company they think would be good. My company is one of the companies he chose. He said you have to audition to be the one backup dancer. There will be 5 companies, including us that he chose. The CEO there chose you to be a contender for the spot. This is a really good opportunity for you to shine. You also know how to choreograph so, if they need help choreographing you can help. Your dancing improved so much! It's your choice if you want to. You are now one of our best dancers and if you do get the spot, you are representing your company. You also get more pay, since the CEO will pay you to do this. Auditions are in 2 weeks. So you have two weeks to figure out what you are going to do. Do you want to take this opportunity?

Me: May I think about it and I'll give you a answer tomorrow?

CEO: Of Course! But, I'm warning you your losing time on what you are going to do if you are going to take this opportunity.

Me: I know that, thanks for the opportunity. I'll think about it.
