Omnipresent pov

He could see the glittering ball lights from inside the white limo. He leaned back in his seat and let out a deep sign. He hated balls and social occasions but what was he to do as it came both with the power and position. A slim feminine hand moved to his chest as a husky voice purred in his ear *darling? Aren't you excited or do you just want to be alone with me?* He inwardly snorted in disbelief. How can this airhead think that he would want to spend time with her unless he was f*cking her!

When the limo came to a halt the chauffer opened the door for him and he stood back. Immediately he came out bulbs flashed everywhere and the security personnel had a hard time stopping the media from attacking the couple entering the ball. William Warner was always news of course with his latest conquest the utterly gorgeous Diana Whitfield who was hanging on his arm. Questions were being shouted all around them.

*Did you break up with Lana Korna?**Are you with Diana on the rebound?**Is it true that you are engaged to Ms Korna?* and on and on the questions went as the finally reached the end of the red carpet and were ushered into the ball. William was immediately bombarded from all sides each person wanting a piece of him or more leaving Diana to try and hang on for dear life.

Suddenly he spied Kane his business associate and close friend. The two were usually inseparable. The world new that Kane Morrison was the young multi-billionaires bestfriend. But what they did not know was that he was William's Beta. Very few humans new of the existence of werewolves and other mystical beings. William was the Alpha of all alphas. Meaning he was like the king of all werewolves on earth. And Kane was his second in command.

Will sent a mental plea to Kane. *Help!* Kane smirked and made his way towards his friend. On reaching him he greeted him respectfully and tactfully said that he had important guest waiting for him upstairs in their hosts study.

*thanks man I was almost screaming in frustration* Will told his friend as they quickly climbed the stairs.

*come to the study I'll get you a shot of whisky* Kane answered with a knowing grin.

With a sign of contentment Will threw himself on the couch in the study and closed his eyes.*mama is at it again. She says she wants pups fast*

*what's her excuse this time* Kane asked.

*well the same as usual, that she is not getting any younger and that if I cannot find my mate she will find a good girl who would make a wonderful luna*

Before Kane could say anything else the door was opened and a waiter in a tux entered and said in a low and respectful voice.*sir your presence is requested downstairs by your mother*

*Damn okay am right behind you, lets go Kane*

As they were going downstairs Kane touched Will's arm and said *hey... I forgot to warn you that Lana is here. She arrived a little early than you*
