Will's pov 

Damn 

I thought she was going to be in Paris. Kane gave me a knowing look. I screwed up my face in disgust now i was going to use a bit of persuasion to get her to forgive me. She was my on and off girl bu I was seriously thinking of her if I didn't find my mate. Anyway Lana was one of the hottest she- wolf I had ever seen that is saying something since all wolves were basically hot. 

The smell hit me before I saw her. The sweet smell of blueberry bubble gum and vanilla. My eyes went into wolf form as I blindly turned looking for the source. Mate. Then I saw her catlike green eyes were alight with mischief as she looked around as if checking if someone was watching her. Then she suddenly reached out for a passing glass of champagne at placed it quickly to her lips but before she could drink any the glass was taken from her hand and a man's hand went to her tiny waist as a blond headed man put his lips near her ears. He said something that caused her to pout. I growled. My wolf wanted to come out. How dare he touch our mate so intimately? I let out another feral growl which any wolf in the crowd below would have hard. I tapped into the blond wolf's mind link. 

*Step away from her now if you value your life* I told him. He looked startled as he looked around but his hand was still on her waist. 

*Now * I demanded in my alpha tone. His hand immediately dropped and he took a step away from her. She turned and smiled at him causing me to growl again. I felt my eyes were completely black right now. I will her to turn towards me. When she did her eyes upraised me a bit then left to look back at the blond wolf. Why didn't she recognize me as her mate?  

All this time I hadn't realized Kane had been talking to me until I felt a hand touch my arm. 

*Hey man* he said *you just zoned out and then you began growling what's up?* 

I just found my mate and she ... before I could finish what I was saying I turned round to see another wolf who resembled the blond one pulling my now giggling mate from behind to land flush on his front. I growled and nearly jumped down from the balcony. If it had not been for Kane who quickly came in front of me holding me back. 

*calm down man* he told me *take a deep breath and calm down then you can go and get her from them without blowing the whole werewolf co...* he too let out a growl. What the fuck as I turned and saw another girl being pulled into the group by the blond wolf. She was blond too with blue eyes some would call her beautiful but she paled in comparison to my mate. 

Now it was my turn to hold him off. Calm down you too and let's get down there before we both end up killing someone. We made our way downstairs and were quickly ambushed by numerous people. A si made my way through them not speaking to anyone I was stopped by mother.  

*How rude of you William! How can you arrive and not greet your mother and what is this I hear about you cheating on Lana. That sweet, gentle ...* As she droned on and on I heard Kane scoff beside me. Sweet Lana was a lot of things but not sweet and gentle and anyway I found my mate Lana was history so was Diana. 

*William! I am talking to you young man where..?* I leaned near her ear and said * I'm going to get my mate if you don't mind mother it is of the uttermost importance maybe we could have this conversation later on...* Kane snorted as he tried to hide his laughter as we left my mother who was looking after as on shock. As I wielded myself through the crowd that was thickening. You'd think that they'll get the point that i don't want to talk but naa that was just asking too much. 

When I got the group they all became silent the two males and the girl tilted their necks slightly as a sign of respect and submission but my mate looked at me with curiosity. 

*Hi * I said stretching out my hand she brought hers slowly and wearyingly. When we touched I felt the electric bolts go through my hand as I grinned. She gasped and pulled her hand away. 

*That's not possible* the other girl spoke for the first time looking shocked and afraid as she moved protectively towards my mate. 

*Why not?* I growled back at her. I felt Kane tense beside me and I ignored him when I heard my mate speak and ask in an awed voice *did you just growl?* 

I was startled. *Of course I growled I am ...* before I could finish what I was going to say the blond wolf cut in and said quietly *she is human*
