If Only

~ After School ~

Shownu said bye to his new friends and headed home. He walked into the house where his younger brother, Jooheon, was sitting on the couch, writing what looked like lyrics in his notebook. Jooheon goes to a fine arts school instead of a normal highschool. It was probably some lyric assignment. "Hi Oppa. How was your first day?" Shownu sat his bag on the floor, flopping on the couch next to him. "I made some friends." He looked wide eyed at his socially awkward brother. "Really? Already? How much did you pay them?" He lightly punched his little brother in the arm laughing. "What's their names?" Shownu messed with the zipper on his jacket while listing the names. "Well there's Wonho, Hyungwon, Minhyuk, Changkyun, and Kihyun." Shownu's smile became bigger when he mentioned the last name. "Wow you even have a crush on the first day?" He snapped his head to face Jooheon who had a grin on his face. "What?" He rolled his eyes. "This Kihyun guy? You got a crush on him huh?" Shownu blushed lightly and shook his head. "I think that art school is making you crazy." Shownu got up grabbed his bag and went upstairs. He started looking through his bag for Kihyun's number. He finally found the scrap of paper with numbers scribbled across it. He added his number and sent him a text.

Text Convo Between: Shownu & Kihyun

Shownu: Hey 👋

Kihyun: Who is this?

Shownu: Its Shownu. The new guy from lunch lol.

Kihyun: Oh right sorry 😅 Sorry again about Kris.

Shownu: It's fine I'm used to dealing with guys like that. Am I still allowed at the table?

Kihyun: Of course! Any friend of Wonho's is a friend of mine 😁

Shownu: Thanks! I like your hair btw. Pink looks good on you. 😉

Shownu took a risk and tried flirting with Kihyun. He knew he had a boyfriend but he didn't care. That guy was a asshole and Kihyun can do so much better than that.

~ At Kihyun's House ~

Kihyun blushed after reading the text he got from Shownu. 'Is he flirting with me?' Kihyun some how liked the idea of Shownu having an 'interest' in him. Even though he knew he was way out of Kihyun's league. He replied, thanking him for the compliment and telling him he looked good in his jacket adding a wink at the end. Shownu had completely wiped Kihyun's mind of Kris. They talked for hours getting to know more about each other. Kihyun learned about his younger brother, life back in Seoul, and how he likes singing,dancing, and eating. Shownu loved learning about Kihyun and talking to him. He learned more about Changkyun, Busan city life, and how he sings, cooks, and writes songs. Sleep was finally hitting him and he had to end the chat.

Kihyun: It was nice talking to you Shownu. We should do it more often.

Shownu: I agree. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Kihyun, sleep well.

Kihyun: Goodnight Shownu. You as well.

Kihyun couldn't quit smiling as he drifted to sleep that night. And Shownu couldn't get the beautiful boy of his mind as sleep took over him.

~ The Next Day ~

Kihyun woke up to his alarm. He didn't know why but he felt like dressing up nicer than usual today. He put on some black jeans and an oversized light pink sweater to go with his hair, which he styled with some messy waves. He went down stairs and made breakfast for him and Wonho. He came downstairs and saw his roommate plating the breakfast. Wonho froze and smirked. "Wow someone's dressed up." Kihyun looked up and chuckled placing his food in front of him. "I just felt like looking nice. Is there anything wrong with that?" He chuckled biting into his eggs. "Are you sure it's not for a certain new guy at school?" Kihyun kicked his roommates leg under the table. "Hurry up and finish your breakfast or we'll be late."
