"SO ABOUT LAST WEEK... I'm really sorry that I—" she cuts off.
"No, that sounds dumb."
Yunhui clears her throat.
"So, hey, Yuta, I didn't mean to be an asshole when we met last week—"
She groans, running a hand through her hair.
"Wow, Yunhui, what a great way to apologize for being an absolute bitch."
"I think it's a pretty good start," a voice pipes up from behind her, and Yunhui almost face plants in her haste to push out her chair and stand up.
She isn't surprised to find a smirk on Yuta's face as he pulls out the chair in front of her to take a seat.
"O-oh, Yuta!" She exclaims nervously.
"I-I didn't know you were here!"
His smirk widens.
"Yeah, I can tell."
Yunhui's face grows redder by the second, and she's almost certain that the temperature of the library they are in is rising quickly.
"But," he continues on, "apology accepted."
She opens her mouth to respond, but nothing comes out and she just stands there, gaping, as Yuta pulls out his laptop and a notebook from his backpack.
"Also, I think you might want this—" he holds up a purple sparkly pencil bag before cutting off, looking concerned.
"Hey, shortcake, are you okay?"
Yunhui chokes at the nickname, and his eyebrows furrow further in worry.
Who the hell was he calling shortcake? Suddenly Yunhui didn't feel so bad about her horrible attempt at an apology.
"Y-Yeah," she says tightly, taking her seat again. "I'm fine."
"Well," he says, the concern not completely gone from expression. "Here you go. You left this last time we met."
He tosses her the pencil bag she's been looking for for days, and she gapes at him.
"I like the unicorns, by the way," he smiles. "Very classy."
