The Life that will never happen.

" This probably a bad idea"

My and this guy Josh hadn't been friends for long but we were a good team. We met though my friend Marcus. He had me meet his friend Liz. Me and her where friends till she said I was trying to steal her boy toys. Witch made no since cause I was taken and kinda happy I guess you can say. But this was aft me and ex broke up.

But anyway. Liz and Josh dated a while back, she broke up with him. Then come to find out when they got to college they were in the same class so they started dating again.

I talked to him once on the phone cause she didn't want to. It was weird cause I was talk to a complete stranger, who would actually be a big part of my life for a short time.

Anyway, the first time they broke up, the first of many,by the way, he text me. Me and my ex Adam were fighting like normal at this point.

"Wanna go on an adventure"

At the time Liz was living with us cause we were trying to work things out and her mom kicked her out. Fuck I don't know. But she seen the message and got mad.

"Are you really going?" She says with a smart mouth tone.
"I mean not like Adam wants me around and Marcus is out with Harley. I just have to ask my mom," I still haven't texted him back.
"She won't let you," she sounded like a snob. "I think she will." I snap at her, "I've been doing nothing but cleaning. And there isn't much more to do, I think she'll let me." She just gives a whatever toss of her head and leaves me in the dinning room.

I walk to my moms room and open the door.

"Hey, you think I could go hang out with Josh for the night?" I pop my head in. My mom is laying in bed with her tablet.
"Is the kitchen clean?" She continues to play her game.
"Yes Moma, I've washed the dishes, swept and mopped the floors," I lean against the door frame.
"And the..." I interrupt her.
"The Landry is done as well," I smile at her.
"Then I guess you can. Does Adam know?"
"No we kinda got into another fight. I just kinda want to hang out with a friend." My smile grows smaller thinking about the fight, wanting to forget about his rude words.
"Well I hope you two work it through." She goes back to her game.

I close her door and text him back,

"What kind of adventure?"

He says he will be there in about an hour. I'm already dress and I fix myself so I don't look like I had a mental break down.

I walk through the house to make sure there isn't anything else to do. I enter the living room.

Liz sit silently on the couch. I start to straighten up around her. She gives me dirty looks. Like she can't stand to be around me.

" Josh will be here in about 20 minutes," I grab the shirt next to her. I look over at her she stairs at her phone, ignoring me. "You know what. If you wat to sit here and boo who cause the guy your broke up with what's to hang out with me and not you, go ahead." I look back at the shirt then toss it at her realizing its one of her dirty ones she just leaves laying around.
"Hey!" She stands up and gets in my face.
"No. You don't get to act all big and bad." I turn to her, 'You are staying in my house! You should feel luck to have a roof over your head! Food to eat! And we aren't even asking you for anything, just make sure the people who have to get to work get to work! So honey get mad, but you can leave when ever you want," I step up not wanting to take her crap any more.

She takes a step back then sits back Down on the couch. My phone rings in my pocket. I look back at her then leave the room.

I pull my phone from my pocket and see is Josh . A smile comes across my face as I answer.
