Kaycees POV

"Hey.." I look up and see Sean walking towards me. "Hey.." I say back and he frowns. "What's wrong?" He asks and I chuckle. "Nothing. Just tired. The water got into my eyes and it's making me drowsy" I say making a lie up and he nods. I see him look at the girl as she plays with everyone and he smiles.

"Girlfriend? She looks kinda young tho. You look like you love her." I say and I look at him and he shakes his head. "No no. I mean yes, I do love her. But no she's not my girlfriend." He says keeping his eyes on her and smiling. "Friend?" I ask and he chuckles. "Yes.." He says and I nod. "Yea But Shes also my niece. I feel protective of her." He says and I feel my heart start beating again.

"Wait what?" I ask and he chuckles. "Yea her mom was here. And she saw me. And she had to leave. So I'm looking after her" he says finally looking at me. "Oh.." I say with the embarrassment coming to my cheeks. "Why was she crying?" I ask and he frowns. "You saw that?" He says and I nod. "I don't know.. I guess it's one of those days you girls have" He says looking at me and chuckling.

"Omg. Good way to say she's on her period" I say and he chuckles and frowns. I wonder what his thinking.

Sean's POV.

Why am I thinking this? I mean, has she ever even had her period before? Sean wtf. No.. wait.. oh that's why she smelt like blood a couple hundred centuries ago.. ok I need to stop.

"Oh uh.. hey you wanna go in the water?" I ask and she chuckles. "Yea.." She says and I hold my hand out. She leans in to take it then runs away to the water. "Last one to the water gets a dare!" She shouts and I laugh. I run to the water and she frowns when she's sees in next to her. Then she smiles and I get lost in her smile. Then she smirks and runs ahead leaving me stunned.

"Your a vampire. What the heck was that?" I hear Kenneth from across the beach with my hearing and roll my eyes. "I let her win dipshit. Now go back to having heart eyes with bailey." I say and I hear someone chuckle. "You both are so in love it's cute" I hear queeny say and it's silent. "Proves my point" she says before I ignore it and go after kaycee.

We splash around in the water but get interrupted when they call for lunch. We walk back and we all sit down but kaycee stands up straight and she frozen. She looks like she's just seen a ghosts.

"I-is that a.." she says and she points to the trees. There's a stray dog.. no. That's not a dog. "Why is there a wolf on the beach?" Devon asks and we all just stare at it. It looks small. But a little too big to be a normal wolf. I look at ken and his eyes widen and queeny holds me tighter.

It starts walking and it looks injured. "It's limping" I say and silence. I unwrap queeny and nod at her. I start walking and I hear them call me but I ignore it. I get closer to the wolf and it backs away while limping. "Let me help you. And don't go and transform on me now. I know your not normal" I say as I glow my eyes and it stops.

"Wait.. no. I can't be right" I say to myself as I see her eyes soften and looks away. "Hayley?" I ask and she looks up at me. She lays down and I sit next to her. It was a bullet. "Hunter.." I say and she whimpers. "Calm down. I'm going to carry you." I say and I hold her in my arms as I get weird stares from everyone. I bring her back as everyone except Ken and queeny steps back and I put her down.

I see Kenneth holding bailey in his arms and I look down at Hayley and I see the sadness in her eyes. I would be broken too.

"Does anyone have a first aid kit?" I ask and look up at them as they stare at me weirdly. "Shes not going to hurt you. If she wanted to, she would've by now" I say and they still look scared. Then Laura moves and she hands me the kit and I smile. I see her eyes start to glow and I cover her eyes. "Ken can you pass me a towel to cover her eyes." I ask widening my eyes and he understands.

"Queeny. Can you please do what your good at" I say chuckling and she smiles. She sits down near the wolf and starts humming a tune that I like to hear and she pats the wolf softly. Calming it down. Ken passes me the towel and I cover its eyes.

"Why are you covering its eyes?" Brad asks and I look up at him. "There's too many people here. It's going to overwhelm her and she's going to panic" I lie and he frowns. "How do you know it's a girl?" He asks and I smile. "Her figure. Her thinner neck. Her face and neck less masculine. You can tell she's an adult. And a male would've been larger" I say and I see the amusement in Kaycees eyes as I say that.

"You know your wolves Sean" brad says and I chuckle. "Yea, favourite animals" I say looking at queeny and she smiles. "Mine too" queeny adds. "Saw heaps of them in our business trip we just had" Laura says and smiles. "Oh really? Where was it?" I ask and she smiles. "Germany. We like going there for business cause we get to see the wildlife. Wolves especially. Even tho we don't know much" brad adds and I see queeny frown and I shake it off and smile.

I clean the leg up as everyone stays silent. The only things heard were queeny humming a tune. I felt the bones twitch and I started to panic. "I have to get her home to rest. If I bring her to the vet they're going to put her down" I say and look up. "Well it's getting pretty late. I'll drop you off. You can't take that in an Uber." Devon says and I smile.

"Mom can I go?" Kaycee asks and her mom smiles and nods. We all go in Devon's truck and I go in the trailer with her so she doesn't turn. "Ken, take queeny home." I say and queeny shakes her head. "Please can I go with you?" She asks and I sigh. "Ok. But you have to go in the car. Not the trailer" I say and she nods.

Once we get to my house kaycee and Devon get out and I shake my head. "I'm sorry guys. I have to stitch her leg. And it's going to be messy. Less people, less trouble" I say and kaycee looks hesitant and she nods. "Call me later ok? And tell me if she's alright" kaycee says and I smile and nod. They leave and I sigh and quickly bring her inside. We go a final check to see if they're gone and I sigh.

I get a sweatshirt and come back down. "You can change now Hayley" I say and I see ken widens his eyes. "H-Hayley.." he says and I sigh. She turns back and puts the sweatshirt on. She smiles at me then she looks at Kenneth.

"Hello Kenneth"
