They stood in front of a huge iron gate which was gold in colour and ornately carved.
Ji rae waited quietly next to Taehyung who tapped the gate three times with a metal ring that was hung at the middle.
Then a...... card?
A card with 6 hearts painted on it stood in front of them with an exasperated expression.
"I did not know cards could have expressions...." she whispered and Taehyung chuckled.
"State your business with the king!" It proclaimed, twisting its face up at the group.
"It can talk?!" Ji rae exclaimed, incredulous.
"Of course I can talk, now state your business!" It snapped at them and she cowered behind Tae.
Taehyung took off his purple top hat at ruffled his hair, " Tell him his best friend is here~" he said in a light manner in contrast to the uptight servant.
The card grunted and marched towards the direction of the large palace.
Taehyung's hair looked unbelievably soft and Ji rae wanted to touch it but before she could , he turned towards her and spoke.
"The king is a good friend of mine, so you don't have to be intimidated my him." He smiled ," He's too nice if I must say so myself."
"What's his name?" She inquired but before he could answer Jungkook tripped on a log in the grass and almost fell on her but Taehyung stuck out his hand and caught him. He looked annoyed but quickly masked it with his usual carefree expression.
At that moment, the gates swung open and Hoseok jumped in fright followed by jungkook's muffled , "oh my god," as he caught the March hare, who had jumped into the rabbit's arms.
Taehyung just laughed and took Ji rae's hand in his. "Come onnnn~".
_______________
They were walking down a long corridor , covered with paintings of what Ji rae assumed to be past kings and queens.
At the end the corridor , which they were currently heading towards, there were two large paintings, side by side.
One was of a woman,
She was beautiful
Her black hair was pulled into a bun and the high collar of her gorgeous red dress rose up until her chin.
A golden crown with rubies in the shape of hearts set in it was placed daintily on her head and here bright gold eyes looked as if she was lost in another world. Her red lips were curved into a smile and gold earrings hung along her ear.
The painting next to hers, was just as beautiful.
It was a Man who Ji rae assumed to be the King of hearts.
Who they were going to visit now.
He had perfectly chiseled features which looked as if they had been carved by the finest sculptor in the world. A thin shadow covered half of his side profile. He had, what she assumed was, platinum blond hair hair but she could not see it properly. His light pink eyes eyes, held a twinge of melancholy that you could not understand. His pink lips were unsmiling but still beautiful. There was no crown on his head, but she could see his royalty exuding from his features.

However Taehyung was just as , if not more, beautiful to her. She blinked, surprised at the random thought which had appeared out of the depth of her confused mind. She looked to her side at Taehyung, who was making his way forward with a steady stride as if he had been here many times before, which he probably has.
His soft hand still remained clasped in her smaller one.
They reached a large door even grander than the gate in front. It was littered with designs and the golden colour gleamed in the light that shone through the large windows on one side of the hallway.
The large double- doors swung open to reveal a grand throne room, grander than what she had seen of the palace so far.
A long red velvet carpet spread from the door and travelled the entire length of the room.
On either side of the carpet there were four extremely different thrones, each contrasting the other in appearance. One was clear but shiny , it reminded Ji rae of diamonds and Ice. It had carving of diamonds, crowns and other things she could not recognise but rising above the back of the throne was a carved diamond.
The throne next to it looked plush and cushioned with mismatched patches of colour and small golden bells hung at seemingly random places. This time, at the top of the back of the throne there was a jester hat, which supported the theme of the throne.
On the other side, a deep blue throne carved with shapes she could not make out, stood. Liquid silver seemed to have been poured on it and hardened causing it to glimmer against the light. On the back, There was the symbol for clubs.
But the throne next to it, really caught Ji rae's attention.
It was captivating. It looked as if it was carved from solid black obsidian, with splashes of gold covering parts of the throne. Carvings of spades, daggers, men and crowns covered the backing of it and the seat was a velvety black and seemed extremely plush and comfortable. The arms of the throne were similar, however spades were painted on in gold.
Rising above the back of the throne was the symbol for the black spade, lined with a thin outline of pure gold.
Her attention was broken by the next sight.
This throne was on top of the raised platform. It was golden and even more intricately carved than the others. Rubies littered the backing and armrests. Above it was a heart, Red and golden and breathtakingly beautiful
But on the throne, sat the man.
He had platinum blond hair, with a messy but finished look. His features looked the same, just as perfect and otherworldly. His light pink eyes held the same melancholy but also a confident and fierce look. She knew it would be dangerous to underestimate him.
He wore a white shirt with a frilled collar underneath a deep red, suit jacket and red pants. He wore black shoes and a string of gold earrings was on one of his ears similar to the woman in the painting. He wore a gold ring with a ruby in the shape of a heart on the ring finger of his right hand and his palm was currently against his cheek. His intricate gold crown with rubies engraved in was set seemingly carelessly on his perfectly styled hair. It was tilted to one side and he was looking directly at her with an amused expression.
The man in the painting sat upon the throne of hearts.
