Chapter 18

Luke's POV

After Amber went upstairs to talk to Jess, Ryan came down so they could talk alone. Her dad and I were talking until he came down. It was silent for a few minutes until I decided to break it by talk to Ryan. "So are you still gonna play football and baseball this year?" "I don't know maybe. Well I could probably play football still because she shouldn't really need me but I don't think I can play baseball because well it'll almost be time and all that so" "Yea. Well I hope it all works out for y'all. I just wish y'all would've learned from Amber" "Yea I know" The girls came down after that and we said our goodbyes and left. Once we got in the truck I asked Amber how it went. "I don't think she realizes how hard this is gonnna be. I know that Ethan didn't get the chance at life but you know how hard that was on me for nine months and then having him and losing him. Granted I don't know what it's really like having to take care of a kid for the rest of it's life but I do know what it's like having one" "It'll be okay if she needs anything hopefully she will come to you first" "I don't think she will. We aren't really as close as we used to be when we were little but then mom died and I became the rebel child. You see where that has gotten us" "You act like it's all bad" "It is Luke. I had a kid at 18! My baby sister is now having a kid with one of the worst guys she could be having a kid with at 18 and we don't even have a mom to help us through all of this" "That's not true you know that everyday after your mom died momma always took care of y'all and always made sure you were okay. She has been like a second mom to you and you know it" "But it's not the same. Nothing will ever be the same" "Amber who cares. Your mom is watching out for you she's still here if you need her you just can't see her" "Why do you like me" I slammed on the brakes after she said that and just looked at her. "Do you really wanna know why" "Yea because I don't know why you would. You know everything about me. You probably know more about me than me!" "Amber I don't just like you for one.. I love you and you wanna know  why.. I love you because I can be 100% honest with you. I can tell you anything and everything. Sure you get mad at me and I get mad at you but I know you'll always be there for me and you should know that I'll always be there for you. You've been my best friend since day one. I was pissed as hell when you told me you were pregnant with Tyler's kid. I didn't tell you though I helped you threw it even after Tyler got in that accident and was in a coma. Ambs fate is the reason you lost Ethan and the reason Tylers family took him off life support after they were told he was brain dead. Fate is the reason you and I are together today and fate is the reason we will be together forever. Amber I asked your dad a question while you were talking to Jess and well one sec" I got out of the truck and walked around to her door and opened it. I got down on one knee. "I had a big plan for this but know just seems like the right time. I can still do what I had planned if you want me to but Amber Marie Brown will you marry me?" She was crying and her hadns covered her mouth. She just shook her head and then put her hand out I slipped the ring on as I stood up. I hugged her and kissed the top of her head. "I love you Ambs" "I love you too Thomas Luther but do you  think you could still do that thing you had planned" I laughed. "Of course" I said giving her another hug before I went around to get back in the truck.

Amber's POV

I can't believe that just happened. I can't wait to tell Kat though but Luke told me not to tell anybody till he really tuely proposes like he was planning. So in order for me to not have to explain a ring on my finger I gave it back to him until he does his little thing. I bet he does it tomorrow since it'll be the weekend so we won't have class. When we got back Kat asked me how it went with Jess. I told her it went pretty good actually. Luke sat down on the bed beside BM and asked him what happened while we were gone.. "Nothing really" He said and gave Luke the look so I knew something was up. Kat rolled her eyes when I looked at her so this is either serious or some stupid little joke that he's tryin to get Kat embarrased with. Kat looked a Michael after she rolled her eyes and gave him the death glare so I'm taking it as something bad.. Monaco stood up and looked a Luke and said "Let's go before I'm killed" Luke laughed as BM grabbed his arm and turned back and his lips could just barely graze mine before he was pulled away. Once the door shut I looked at Kat. She sat down. "What happened" "He's just being a dumbass" "Okay the last three times you had a boyfriend and said that y'all broke up a week later max" I said giving her the spill look. "Fine he is a complete asshole lately. We went out to eat and we ran into a few of his friends and he didn't even introduce me. Then he didn't talk to me the whole time we were eating and he didn't pay. I did!" "That's not like him" "I know I don't know what his problem is like if he doesn't like me anymore maybe he should tell me" "Maybe he' s just having one of those moments" "Maybe he's having one of those man periods we always swore Luke had growing up" She laughed. "What do you mean growing up he still has them!" "Hopefully that's alll that's wrong with Michael" 

BM's POV

"Luke I really screwed up" I said as he stood at the bathroom sink brushing his teeth. "What the hell did you do this time" He asked walkin back into the room takin his shirt off and looking for some basketball shorts. "I um didn't introduce her to my friends and made he rpay for dinner" He looked back at me and just gave me that 'what did you just say' look. "I don't even know what to tell you man" He said walkin back in the bathroom. "I know what to tell you.. make sure you shut the damn door this time cause I don't need to see that again" "Why were you lookin earlier?" "Oh ya know cause I really like guys" "Well that's your decision I guess" "I'm kidding man I turned my head at the wrong time damn it" "I was just messin man relax." He said walking out of the bathroom. "And why don't you set up a really romantic date for this weekend just not tomorrow because I need your help" "Why do you need my help" "Cause I'm gonna propose to Amber but I need you to bring her and direct her to me" "I'm gonna tell her I'm goin huntin for that deer I've been tryin to get for awhile now" "Well this will be interesting.. I'll help ya" "Thanks man"

A/N

So last update before school starts which is really unfortunate! Probably will only bne one update a week from now on but I don't  really know. I still have 1 1/2 books to read and blog about for school so bare with me please..
