I sat down on the couch and waited for Vinnie to come home.
He had some errands to care of before the day was over.
At about three minutes until four, the lock clicked and I jumped up on my feet.
"Hi Vinnie"!
I cheerfully smiled at him.
The Ankh Warrior chuckled at my childish behavior, and he put down his bag on the floor.
"It's good to see you too, sweetie".
I hugged him and he gladly accepted it.
"Hmmm...you smell like vanilla..."
I giggled as he inhaled my scent.
We walked upstairs and Vinnie sat in a chair after he picked up his v-shaped guitar.
I loved hearing him play his music.
"You can sit in my lap if you want too, sweetie".
He gestured to come towards him and I did just that.
Vinnie bounced his leg and I laughed.
I played with his hair and he kissed me on the cheek.
"Vinnie....do the music do the music...."!
I laughed and he laughed at my ethusiasm.
"What do you wanna hear"?
"A million to one".
Vinnie smiled as he took out the music sheet.
He sang:
Baby, now that you've made up your mind
I'm going to let you go
If that's what it takes to show you love is blind
So, if you think you're so smart, go and play with your heart
When you walk out the door, you'll realize what you never did before
I wrapped my arm around him as I joined in:
A million to one
That's what it will be
A million to one
There's someone better than me
A million to one
No, you will never find
A million to one
Another love like mine
I sighed as Vinnie wiped away a tear from his eye.
"You sing beautful, my dear".
"So do you, Ankh Warrior".
I playfully kissed his lips and he pulled me in for a warm hug.
