It's only been a few weeks since I got here and I hate most of it, happy that at least now I have some friends, even despite the fact we have some bullies threatening us to do their homework. I sigh as Jon, Lui and I sit on the floor in the schools auditorium on the stage.
I throw my book to the floor in frustration, "This is bullshit! They should be doing their own damn homework." Lui shushes me, "If the teachers hear you cussing they're gonna think we are too, so cool your shit." Jon face palms and I roll my eyes, "Dude. You just cursed too." Lui hit himself in the head, grumbling about being stupid.
Jon looks back to me, "So what do you suppose we do then Craig? It's not like we can do anything to them. I mean, they are football players. They're basically built for beating others smaller than them."
I stand up and throw my hands in the air, "I know! This is so not fair man! We need to stop being so...so...I don't know! But we can't just let them win!" I stomp on the ground, the sound echoing off the walls. I reach up, gripping my hair in my hands and groan.
Suddenly a thought comes to me; I spin around towards them and grab Nathans, one of the Bully's, homework. "I know what to do! Get Logan and Ray's homework out. I'll work on Nathans, but instead of getting all of them right, make half right and the other half wrong. This is one of their bigger homework assignments and we've been doing a good job at keeping their grades high so far. What do you say we make them plummet a bit?"
Jon and Lui look at one another, "Won't it make them angry? If we've been doing such a great job and suddenly we do shit on it...won't they know we did it on purpose?" I look up at them, and them looking at me. I groan and sit back, holding a pencil so tight it breaks in half. "This just isn't fair man. Absolute bullshit." Lui nods, "Yeah man, I feel ya, but at this point we don't really have a choice."
Soon enough our lunch is over and we have their homework done, but not our own. Going through the days classes like zombies and slugs, slow and sweaty. By the time it's time to get on the bus I'm completely wiped and just wanting to sit in front of the air conditioner in my room. Jon sits with me in my seat and Lui in the seat across from us. "Today, sucked." Jon says, running a hand under the top of his mask to wipe away sweat. "Tell me about it. I went to the bathroom and Ray was in there being a dumbass and carving his name into the bathroom stalls." Lui pulled up his shirt and hoodie to show a purple bruise on his midsection. I wince, "Damn. That's gotta hurt."
Lui nods and pushes his clothes back down. "You guys want 'ta come over to my house? My mom wouldn't mind, no doubt, and my dad is fine with me bringing friends over." Jon nods quickly, to which I find it kinda weird but dismiss it. I start to think, 'What would my parents say? They would probably think they're my fuck buddies or something.' "Let me, text my parents...they are pretty strict." Pulling out my phone I go to my mom's number and shakily text to them.
Craig(Fag): Hey, Madam? Sir? Is it alright if I go somewhere instead of coming straight home?
Madam: Your father isn't here, I have a friend over so just stay the hell away, or, for all I care, you can go rot in a hole somewhere and never be missed. Now fuck off.
And with that I quickly put my phone away and turn back to Jon and Lui. "Yeah, they said that they're letting me doing this 'cuz my grades are so good." Lui snorts and lays back in his seat, "Alright, if B's are a good grade for you then yeah, I guess that's good. HA!" I sneers, "Oh hardy-har." I laugh as the bus stops to let us off. Lui jumps up, rushing to get off the bus, a lagging Jon and I behind him.
Getting off we trudge up a hill, the brick wall of a gated community to our left and regular fenced off houses to our right. "So, since we did all our homework somewhere during school hours, what do you guys want to do when we get to my house?" Jon jumps around in excitement, "Dead by Daylight! We can take turns!" "What the fuck is dead by daylight?" I ask. Jon gasps like I've just insulted his grandma, "Well, goody gum drops, I'll fucking tell ya!"
