Once Britch left us- well, him- I went all crazy and kept ranting over her. Everyone else around either gave me weird looks or tried to know what's the matter. Some asked me to calm down and some just simply ran away. Only Jiff could handle me at such situations. He asked for my phone and blasted Best Song Ever. That was enough. I was dancing in a moment.

Although I seemed to forget the topic for some moments, but I couldn't ignore it completely; it was Jiffy's feelings she was playing with. So after Philosophy, I sneaked out, leaving Jiff behind and went looking for Britch. Shortly after I found her, flirting with Adam, the basketball team captain and one of the hottest guys in the uni, as per all other students. I quickly took out my phone and started making a video of her 'cheating' on my best friend. Soon Adam left her behind to go for the practice, and she found her chance to flirt with another prey; Martin, the intelligent one. I kept recording as she continued her daily routine, until those fingers tapped on my shoulder. I knew who it was. I turned around slowly, guilty of getting caught, but then, what had I done wrong? I was trying to save my best friend from a serial flirter so that he's not hurt.

"What's going on?"

"What's going on?" I asked back, as if I knew nothing. He looked at me, his arms folded. I had to give up; I couldn't hide anything from him, it was just so hard.

"Um...okay, so you know that I've always hated that bitch-"

"Fay," he interrupted.

"Okay sorry, but Bri, she's just not right for you. She-"

"How many times will you tell me that?"

"Just listen to me first. Do you even know that she flirts with other guys behind your back?" I questioned. He stood there without giving any response; no shift in his position, no expression change, nothing. Just standing like before. That means he knew. And he still was with her? My eyes widened in shock.

"Oh God what's wrong with you?" I asked, throwing my hands in the air. "You know everything and you're still with that bitch? And if you still don't believe, then just check this out." I offered my phone to him, which he silently declined. "Have you lost it? She named herself Rianna just so that she can be called Rihanna! She's just an attention-whore. She's just using you. I don't know about you but definitely I can't let her use my best friend like this all the time."

His ignorance was getting on my nerves. Badly. I was about to start saying something again, when he got hold of my hand and pulled me to the empty classroom towards the other end of the building.

"Now say all that you want to."

"Look Jiff, I know you like- well, love her a lot. But just try to see the other side. She's just using you. All the time. Boy just leave her she's not right for you. She...she's like a parasite on you! Like a leech, like a mosqui-"

"Shut up." Now this was it. I couldn't hold my patient face anymore.

"What shut up? She'll keep cheating you on your face, and you'll still ignore that fact and give that jerk all that she wants?" I started yelling. "I'm sorry but I can't be this good. I'm no saint. I'll go to her right now and teach her a lesson. I-"

"FAY! Shut up. Just. Shut. Up. When you spend hours everyday writing those stupid letters to him, which he never replies to, or probably never even read, it's totally fine. But when I fall in love and am with that girl, everything is wrong? If you're worried about your daily car ride to Uni, don't worry, I'll pick you up everyday. I'll hang out with you, do all that you want, but not this. Please." He pleaded at the end and went away.

It felt like as if he had just slapped me hard. My heart broke into pieces. It's true; love takes no time to break a friendship. My rest of the day went very silent, us not talking, or even looking at each other. During returning to our places, he welcomed her with a warm hug and a welcoming smile, and I quietly went and sat on the back seat. The whole way we both kept silent, with Britch talking all crap she had collected in the day, and us barely listening to any of it.

On returning, I sat on the bed after getting cleaned up and started to think about what had happened today. Whatever happened, wasn't right. It shouldn't have happened. But we both were responsible for it. I somehow had to make him understand this and apologize. Tonight was going to be a sleepless night.

Next morning, I planned to go out with a baby face, or if it still didn't work, I had a written note saying sorry. I had all of it worked out. But when I got in the car, his face looked all shrunk, plus there was no Britch.

"Come in front Fay," he said softly, guilt clear in his voice. "Please." I changed my seat and turned towards him to talk.

"Look-" we both started in unison, and laughed a little.

"You say." I said.

"Okay. Fay, I'm sorry. I didn't understand you yesterday and behaved that way. But I've realized what you wanted to say and...." he trailed off.

"And?"

"And I've left her. Just as you said." He smiled at me. I went over and hugged him; he hugged me back.

"Oh my idiot, I told you. And I'm sorry too," I said, pulling away. He gave a small peck on my cheek and then we took off for uni.
