"Die." Diana whispered as she shot an arrow that pierced through a deer's body. She was currently in the forest of their village doing her favorite hobby. Hunting.

She approached the dead animal and looked at it closely. "Damn. I think i'm loosing my edge nowadays." She said and sighed.

Her target was supposed to be exactly at it's neck but she hit it at the chest.

"I knew you would be here."

She rolled her eyes and faced the person who spoke behind her. She was greeted by the smiling face of her brother.

"What brings you here?" She asked. It was obvious that she wasn't pleased by her brother's presence.

"What's with that fiesty tone? I'm still older than you. A little respect would be nice." Her brother, harox, complained.

She turned away from her brother and continued what she was doing. She expertly leaped to a tree and readied her bow and arrow.

"Then are you going to hunt with me?" She asked.

"I'm starting to think that you have a mood disorder, but yes I am lil' sis." Harox smirked and without a warning, ran ahead of Diana.

"Oh it's on!" Diana caught up with his brother as they raced to a destination only they could think of.

This was what the siblings did to bond with each other. They loved to compete in many aspects.

"You think you're fast?" She taunted him.

"I don't think i'm fast. I know and I am fast--What the hell!"

Diana laughed as she successfully hit a heavy tree branch with her arrow and it slammed directly at her brother's head.

"Oh i'm sorry, I didn't hear what you were saying. Can you repeat that big bro?" She mocked him.

She didn't wait for her brother to get up and continued running fast. She stopped suddenly to see a prey walking in the woods. She hid behind a tree and set the race with his brother aside.

She swiftly drew her bow and arrow and pointed it at her target. She surely wasn't gonna miss this time.

Her eyes squinted when a dagger immediately swooped to her target and knocked it down.

"Your welcome!" Her brother, who popped out of nowhere as if nothing happened to him, said smiling.

"Stealer." She gave him an icy stare. She hated it when someone would steal her prey. She doesn't really like sharing.

Her brother just shrugged and gave her a playful smile. Once again, they jumped to a tree and sat together on its branch while gazing at the sky. Sounds clichè right?

"I miss mom." A soft whisper came out of Diana's mouth, but it was audible enough for Horax to hear it.

He sadly looked at his sister and patted her head. "Me too, but I know she's watching us now, and she's really proud because her children can defend themselves and her daughter is a crazy badass huntress!" Horax said and smiled.

"Tss. Is this your way of complimenting me? If it is, it's not working on me." Diana said with distaste.

"Oh really? If I know, you want compliments like that since it's the only thing you're good at--Ow!"

The two continued arguing with each other and just like that, the mood wasn't sad for Diana anymore.

"Oh! I just remembered that I had to tell you something!" Horax exclaimed.

'he's young but always so forgetful. Tss.'

"What is it?" She asked.

"We'll be moving to the city tomorrow for a better school, and don't worry! I know some people there so it's all settled. You just have to pack your things later."

Her forehead creased. "What's wrong with our school here? We don't have to move, and besides i'm already a 3rd year college student. I'm almost finished."

"Well, it's for better job opportunities for the both of us. It's also nice to experience living in the city for a while." His brother said with a smile.

"That's the point. The city isn't like the rural areas here. They don't have much forests and I don't get to hunt without permission."

"Well, you could always try something else-"

"No." Diana sternly said as she cut off her brother's sentence. It was her passion to hunt and no one can take that away from her.

"If you bring me there, I might hunt humans instead. I could shoot them straight in the head if I wanted to." She added.

"Hey, stop being so morbid and serious! It's not like you'll have a choice lil' sis. We will still go even if you don't want to. So just understand." Horax smiled widely.

"Fine. Make sure that it would be fun staying there."

Horax secretly did a backflip in his mind because he managed to manipulate his sister. You saw that right! I said manipulate. Pretty brotherly of him to do that don't you think?

"Fun is my middle name lil' sis. You don't have to tell me that."

"You're imagining things. Your middle name is not fun. It's LOSER." Diana said and emphasized the word 'loser' while doing the handsign in front of his brother.

"I think what you mean to say is that is your middle name." Horax said and stuck his tongue out.

"Childish." She rolled her eyes.

The sun was gradually setting and it was getting quite dark in their place at that time. Horax noticed this and immediately jumped from the tree branch back to the ground.

"Hey! Let's go home. It's getting dark." He called out to Diana. She leaped and landed on the ground alongside her brother.

They started to walk the path back to their home. "So tell me, what kind of school are we going to?" Diana asked.

"It's kind of an elite university and it's got good reviews. Most of the excellent students come there so why not?"

Diana nodded but was so suspicious of what her brother said. He doesn't just decide things hastily and even more when it comes to her welfare. She knew that something didn't fit.

'What really is your reason, brother?'
