Knocks at the door became more frequent, and so did the screaming of innocent victims being eaten alive. Still, nobody would even think about opening the door, no matter how many people were getting killed because of it. It's funny how selfish mankind gets when they're in the midst of a tragedy. As they say, every man for himself. Some people would go up to the teacher and tell her that they're incredibly hungry. The teacher always said, I'm sorry, we don't have any food. We ate all the food last night. We combined the leftover lunch from everybody's lunch box, that is if they had one, and portioned it out to everyone. It was a small feast, but we were happy we even had some food. It's always sad to see people walk up to the teacher and tell her that they're hungry. It makes you want to do something about it, or maybe that's just me. Sometimes, you'd have people come up with plans to get some food, but nobody, even the people who acted heroically, was brave enough to even think about volunteering to go out and get food. It's really sad to see people fight, especially when they're friends. Everyone watching knows it's just because they're hungry. Everybody's hungry. We're going to have to get food soon, eventually, maybe, but probably never. Every waking moment, you'd hear a stomach growl, which reminds you that you're hungry as well. If stomachs never growled, we could all trick our minds to think we're full, when we're really not. Someone has to get some food, eventually, well, at least before the sun goes down...
