Chapter 11 -- why should i even try

Ross's POV

I'm at a small cafe near Ben's house and I'm just thinking about his coma he had. Maybe he walked into the future. I wonder if I started dating someone. I get up and pay for my meal. I walk to my car and drive to the house. I have to ask Ben. I really need to know.

I get to the house and when i get inside, i see Austin laying on the floor asleep. i walk over to him and say softly "Austin, wake up." he slowly opens his eyes and look at me. "No!" he says fast and then he closes his eyes. I go to pick him up and he starts moving. I finally pick him up and I take him to the couch. he grabs me and says "Please stay with me." "Austin, I can't, Ben might get mad at me." "pleassssse." I give in and I lay down beside him. Austin scoots into my arms and we both fall asleep together.

4 hours later

I wake up to movement, so I open my eyes to see Austin starring at me. "Thank you for staying with me." "no problem. I do anything for my brothers and sister." "but wait, I'm not your brother or in-law. " "You will be." i wink and hug him tight. we pull away and i get up and see Ben looking at both of us and smiling. "I'm sorry Ben." "What are you apologizing for? I'm not jealous." i walk over to him and hug him. he hugs back and says "this is one huggy family. " "What can I say? we're born giving hugs." I laugh.

I walk over to Ben and ask "when are you going to purpose to him." "Very soon." Austin come downstairs and says "Hey Babe, Hey Ross." "Hey Austin." "I'll be outside if you kids need me." he laughs. we nod and Ben says to me "I'm doing it now." "I'll come with you." we both walk outside and see him dribbling a basketball. Ben walks over to him and asks "Can i ask you something." he looks at him "sure babe." "All my life, I've wanted to ask you this. When you moved, I was a total wreck. I felt like I lost everything. But you came back, and now I can ask you." Ben gets on one knee and says "Austin, Will you marry me." he looks at me then back at Ben. "No, im sorry." he runs inside but i catch him look at me and i saw fear in his eyes.
