Cory's POV
"Mom? I..uh..wh-what are you doing here?" I stammered. Eliza just stared at my mother in awe as she walked toward my bed. "I got a very serious call from.." My mom turned to Eliza, "Elizabeth, right?" Eliza nodded her head. "She was crying and claimed she was in a lot of pain. She also said she was your daughter." My mother gave me a very questionable look, as if she were saying, 'Why didn't you tell me sooner?' "Listen, mom, I was going t-" She cut me off. "Shh..shh. Elizabeth, we're going to have an adult talk now. Could you get your doctor to take you outside the room please?" Eliza thought for a second, then said, "Okay, sure!" Her doctor was just right outside, so she heard her cue. "How about we go to the cafeteria, okay? I can get you some jello!" Her doctor suggested. The door closed slowly as they walked out. "So, when did you adopt her?" My mother asked. I sighed and thought for a moment. "A few days ago, I believe." I answered .
"Wow, she's adjusted so quickly! What made you want to adopt?"
"Well...I....um..uh..I realized I really wanted to adopt because I..uh..read a would you rather question."
She looked very shocked. "Excuse me? Wouldn't you think really long and hard about it?" She asked. She became very stern.
"I did, mom! I thought about even before I made the video!"
"Don't you yell at me! I am your mother. I'm just worried you're not prepared yet. Calm yourself, honey."
"I'm sorry, mom. I know I'm prepared to take care of a child. Just wait, you'll see." I claimed.
