Rain.

How I love it.

It just started to rain not too long ago and I was walking around the city with an umbrella over my head. My eyes scanned the people I walked past. My hood was over my head and my free hand was in my black sweats. Even though it was cold out I had a maroon windbreaker over my black hoodie to keep me warm. My grey sneakers stepped in puddles as I walked to my destination. Reminding myself of the things that I needed to get at the grocery store and continued walking until I heard a scream. I stopped and looked into the alleyway beside me. Looking around, I noticed that no one cared to stop and look into the direction of the scream as I did.

'Ugh... people' I thought it myself with a scowl on my face.

I walked down the hall to find the owner of the scream. Coming across a little girl and three men assaulting her, I sighed and let out a cough. All eyes turned to me.

"The hell do you want?" One of the men asked.

"Can't you see that we're busy here?" The other said.

"Just keep on walking little boy." One sneered.

Boy?

Oh hell no.

I looked over at the little girl and saw that she had a bruise forming on her cheek and tears welling up in her eyes. She was cute and doll-like with long, white hair, pale skin, and red eyes. She wore an outfit that reminded me of a Japanese Gothic Lolita fashion, consisting of a long black and red dress. Her dress had many layered ruffles on the skirt and sleeves. Over her shoulders, she wore matching, also multiple layered, ruffled shawl, with a similar piece being worn on her waist over the bottom portion of her dress. She had long white stockings underneath and red Mary Jane's. She had multiple ribbons for accessories which were messed up, with one being tied over her hair. A miniature top was on the floor next to her. I glared at the three men in front of me.

"You guys must be really pathetic to be beating on a little girl like that," I said.

"Who the fuck are you calling pathetic?" The one I assumed was the leader of these three stooges.

"Obviously you guys. Do you need hearing aids, old man?" I chuckled.

"That's it! I've had enough of you, little boy!!!" He yelled.

He charged after me with his fist raised. I easily dodged it and brought my knee up and kneed him in the stomach. He coughed up blood and I then dropped my umbrella and I grabbed his hair and jacket and threw him into the wall where he dropped unconscious. The other two looked and me and then to each other and nodded. They ran at me as I sighed. I reached in my jacket and pulled out my three sectional staff. I swung it to the closest one and hit the side of his face. He flew to the side and I blocked the bat the other man was holding with the middle section of my staff, holding the other two in each of my hands. I twisted the staff in my hands and in the result, the bat in the man's hands flew out of his grip. Surprise written on his face, he ran to his two partners. Picking up the unconscious one while the other one got up, they ran away. I put my stuff back in my jacket and walked to my fallen umbrella and picked it up.

I sighed angrily.

'Why does everyone assumed that I'm a boy?' I thought to myself.

I then went over to the little girl. She stared at me with awe and shock. I kneeled down to her level and placed the umbrella over her, allowing myself to get soaked.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

She didn't speak but nodded. I glanced at her cheek and then at the fallen miniature too hat next to her. I picked it up and handed it to her.
