Have you ever wished for a miracle? Just something to help you get through life? I do... I wish everyday for a miracle to happen, and it did.

I open my eyes, waking up to the sun warming up my face. I squint my eyes as I look out the window. "I should really buy curtains..."

I stand up and walk towards the chair on the corner of my room. I pat the giant bear sitting on it and then hug it, burying my face on its neck.

"Why are you so cuddly?" I look up at its beady eyes. "Well, you're not gonna answer me anyway." I sigh and go have breakfast, my usual cereal in the morning.

I eat while watching TV, switching through the channels. "Is there anything fun to watch?"

Are you lonely?

I stop clicking on the remote, giving my full attention to the woman on the TV screen.

I get lonely all the time, too. So I chant a little spell to my most prized possession.

You are my friend.
You are my energy.
You complete me.
You, who is always there for me.

Maybe you can try saying that, and maybe you won't feel as lonely, too.

The woman smiled at the camera, as if smiling at me. I look at my bear, will it work if I did it?

I carry my giant bear and place it sitting right in front of me in the living room. I stare at its beady eyes, as if we're having a contest.

I hug it, tightly.
"You are my friend.
You are my energy.
You complete me.
You, who is always there for me."

I wait silently. I sigh and let go of the bear. "That was very stupid of me to do."

I look at the clock. "CRAP! I'm late!" I run to my room and get ready for work.

Thud.

I look back out the living room and see that the bear has fallen. I finish dressing up and put the bear back on its seat.

I kiss the bear's head. "I'll be back, Rion." I pat its head one more time and leave the apartment.

I quickly run to the bus stop and, fortunately, managed to get into the bus. I take out the paper that I'll be reading today, and start making notes what could be changed or added.

Arriving at my destination, I head straight to the studio upon entering the building.

"Sorry guys, I was almost late today." I apologize to my co workers.

"Yea, you barely made it, Maio. How's the script? Did you read over it?" my friend, Lana asks me.

I nod my head. "I did. I also made some subtle changes." I hand in the paper.

She looks over it and smiles approvingly. "Great! It's almost time now, so get in there and prepare yourself."

I grab the papers back from her and enter the recording room. I put on my headphones and wait for the producer's instruction.

"Ready?" Lana asks through the headphones. I make an 'ok' to her as she starts working her stuff.

"And... we're on."

••••~~••••

"And we're done. Good job again today Maio." Lana praises me.

I smile at her as I exit the recording room. "That was a very great story sent to us today. I had fun reading it." I say.

"True. Senders these days almost have the same writing ability as professional writers. I should try to recruit some of them one day." Lana jokes, while I laugh along with her.
