"And the I steeped on a tree branch" I stood in the living room of the cabin with a cup of hot coco while Sarah and my brother were surrounded by apparently everyone who had a room in the resort even my mom and dad were there listening to them tell the stories about how they'd see a wolf

They guy who helped us sat in the opposite corner of the room almost like he wasn't even in the room at all but the attention was brought to him when my brother had mentioned that he helped save the by what he dramatically describes as being eaten

Mandy was at her desk typing something on the computer but you could tell she was listening I also saw the mysterious one they call nick cleaning towels in the room nearby
He finally had his hair out of the bun his curls were nice and short but also really shinny

"And I also want to thank Cameron's sister for helping us" Sarah said I was clearly caught off guard and the everyone laughed "and she is really afraid of heights" my brother said more laughter erupted

Once they finished there story some people checked out and their was a weird murmur of whispers in the air my mom and dad rushed over to me with a frantic look on their faces "honey are you alright" my dad asked "I am Alright dad" both of my parents sighed in relief "we already talked to your brother you know he wants to stay but I think we should leave and go somewhere warm" my mom said

At first in my head I screamed yes but there was so much about this place that I didn't Know friends to still make "none of these supposed wolfs have ever attacked the building so we should just stay" I said my parents looked at me crazy "I told you Hun the kids like it here and it only a couple more weeks"

My mom nodded "now Carly please keep an eye out for your little brother this time" I nodded "that won't happen again" my parents left probably headed back to their suite

I headed over to Mandy while eyeing my brother closely as he played with Sarah "hey" I said she looked up "hey so that's why I never see you going up to the slops" I chuckled "yep my biggest secret has been revealed" we laughed "so I can't believe my brother helped you" she said gesturing

To the guy that helped us "yea he was a big help but a little bit of an ass-hole no offense" I said to Mandy she just gulped and a felt a figure behind me

" None taken So I am an asshole what's new" her brother said standing right behind me I literally felt like I just face palmed all the way Down the sloops her brother quickly left and went straight for the elevator

"Well that's my brother Michael for you" Mandy smiled obviously annoyed I laughed "does he ever have fun" Mandy's expression turned serious

"Not ever since dad died, dad Owned the place but it was passed down to Michael because he was of age he also has to lead among other things around here" Mandy pulled a picture out from under the counter of her and Michael and her dad and Michael was actually smiling

"I am sorry I should have-" Mandy reassured me "no I've needed to talk about that for months a tear feel "I just needed someone to listen since Michael never does anymore" she took a deep breath  and a tear feel from her face

"Mandy" I said starting to tear up as well. Thinking about her situation I came behind the counter and patted her On the back "thank you" she said

"I can always be here if you need me to listen" I said sincerely writhing my number on the napkin

Me and Mandy chatted for a couple more minutes before Cameron came up to me complaining that he was tired so we walked to the elevator I clicked the go up button

But nothing simply nothing happened I was getting tired and so was my brother so I walked back to the front desk but instead of Mandy being their it was nick

He was helping and old lady so me an Cameron stood behind her and waited
Soon it was my turn to speak

"Hi um the elevator isn't doing its normal thing so I was wondering if you could fix it" he looked up "there are stairs you know and they do there normal thing all the time" he chuckled which I didn't know whether to laugh or cry

But Cameron Found it pretty funny "I'm kidding that old thing gets jammed all the time I'll fix it"

He came out behind the desk and walked us right back to the elevator he stuck his key in and the doors magically popped open "sweet" Cameron said "thanks" I said flicking Cameron

"Don't thank me just yet" I was gonna ask why but soon nick got in the elevator with us "I'll just be riding with you all to make sure it doesn't stop midway" he said clicking a few more buttons "what floor" he said Cameron answerd him first "floor three sir"

"If the lobby people thought wolfs were a cool story wait till they hear getting stuck in an elevator" I rolled my eyes but still laughed at his horrible joke but soon enough we ended up at the third floor I exited the elevator but not before adding "may I thank you now" to nick

He laughed and with that me and my brother headed Down the hallway to our room as soon as I slid the card in the door my brother ran to his bed and took his shoes off meanwhile I turned the heat on

The next morning I showered and got dressed our parents decided to take  us out to eat at the restaurant right near the resort apparently from the brochure I read it had the best view of the slopes

"Come on can we are going to be late" I said tying my knee high snow boots he rolled his eyes and began to tie his shoes as well

We met our parents outside "ready to go kiddos" my dad said I nodded the wind was extra chilly this morning so cold my teeth were chattering but that didn't stop my parents from
Suggesting we walk to the restaurant

"It's so near by Carly plus you always need exercise" my dad had responded to my whining
It's true it was close but it was also cold the wind practically whistled at this point but I just listened to all of our feet crunching in the snow

"Wow the restaurant is huge" Cameron said fogging up the glass peering his head in "wait till you see the pancakes as big as you head" my mom added as my dad held the door open for us all to get in the door thank goddess it was warm in there

We sat down in the little waiting area after being told it would be a solid twenty minutes before a table was ready the ceilings were quite high in here with windows but the restaurant looked like one gigantic cabin

As we sat down in the waiting area my brother asked my dad a question curiously I listened in "dad do you think Sarah would like this" my brother pulled out his phone to show my dad "girls love those" my dad said agreeing to whatever was on the screen, aw my brother has a crush first instinct was to make fun of him but I'd guess it have to wait

Twenty minutes seemed like hours but soon we were in a booth I sat next to my brother of course, a burly man who had a long bread and a pair of long johns on and a red flannel sat in the booth right beside ours

"Welcome to food cabin I am your server Blake I'll be taking care of you today" are waiter said but really food cabin was the best name they could've chosen my mom and dad already ordered their drinks now it was just Cameron and  me

"Coke please" my brother said he was such an angel sometimes but we all know that didn't last "a strawberry lemonade for me" i added he wrote down our drink orders and left meanwhile my mom and dad where having a conversation about Jill a family friend

The burly man whispered over to cam "I heard your speech in the lobby" Cameron looked astonished "really" he said excited "do you wanna know what really happens in those woods" the burly man said taking a swig of beer
