The Invisible

The Trees, Park and Lauren

"Charley wake up!!!" I knew that voice from anywhere, it was Lauren!

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Time you get up, I thought you were taking me to the park" Lauren replied.

I scrambled out of bed and began to get ready, Lauren had wondered off downstairs to leave me to my privacy. It was a warm day but I decided to wear a jumper, there was no way id let Lauren see the scars that have appeared from last night.

I threw on a pair of jeans and a blue jumper, I had a quick bite to eat and took Lauren out to the park just as she wanted.

I pushed her on the swings as she screamed and giggled. It was a beautiful day outside especially for the autumn time!

After an hour or two Lauren became bored but I expected that anyways so I took her hand and we went on a little adventure through the trees. we pretended we were monkeys, climbing up a few trees and making monkey noises. I couldn't stop laughing and I just lay down on the grass and Lauren came and sat beside me. I had pulled my sleeves up, totally forgetting about last night.

"What's that? Charley, why is there cuts on your arm?" Lauren questioned me suspiciously.

"Oh nothing my friends cat just scratched my arm" I lied.

"Charley? Can we go home now? Lauren said looking a bit confused about my reply.

We got up and started heading home, I had shoved my sleeves back down wishing that I hadn't pulled them up. I knew she would of accepted the lie, she's too young to know what really happened. Everything will be fine I thought as we walked home.

Chicken nuggets for dinner Lauren's favourite! I wasn't really hungry though so I only picked at a few bits of chicken then binned the rest. Shortly after Auntie Roxanne came and picked up Lauren. Then I was all alone again as my little cousin who was also my best friend had left. I went to my room and closed the door. Where I sat and done my homework.

Maybe tomorrow will be different or maybe it will be the same but the past is the past so let's just leave it and carry on like nothing's changed.
