Emotional thoughts and moments

Them: And other adults dont take that topic very lightly. ESPECIALLY when its their own kid. I've been through this, not dating a minor though. Now, Let me ask you this. Are you a boy or a girl?

Me:Girl

Them: Right there, that Instantly puts a protective circle around you. Girls are viewed as these little delicate flowers that need protecting. Especially at a young age. Its easy to over power a child and get what they want.

Me: But it can also be easy for a child to deceive an adult.

Them: Not as much as you think.

Me: If they act a certain way around them and they purposely go out of their character and say something they would never say...

Them: Kids think their smarter than an adult. But hun. What todays generatiom dont understand. We've been there. My kid wouldnt be able to have their own phone at the age of 13. The real world is a cold and dark place that kids just dont truly understand. I don't even fully understand it and im old.

Me: Heh. You dont know what i have seen.... The only thing i havent seen yet is someone die infront of my eyes.

Them: Ive seen that... Twice...

Me: Oh...

Them: One got shot several times infront of me protecting me...
And I found the other laying in the bathroom covered in blood.

Me: Really?

Them: You kids really dont understand this world... Yall have such an enlightened way of looking at the world. And its just pure... Thats why adults dont approve of the age differences... We dont want you to realise the fucked up world that you think is so beautiful isnt so beautiful..

Me: In my point of view i am kinda in the middle. I know what the world is. But i also know what a child thinks. I have a mature enough mind to know that it isnt all pure. Most kids nowadays just think that the adults dont listen to them. Or push them away when they really need it. Or dont understand what they go through because some adults have never been depressed. Some have never had a best friend say that they were going to kill themselves. Some have never tried to kill themselves. Its difderent for everyone. Children just want adults to see what they see. We want you guys to understand. We may only be about 20% of the population, but we are 100% of the future. And that is what adults dont understand.

Them: Heh.. Thats funny. Ive always heard that adults dont understand. But heres the funny thing. I thought the same thing. But kids dont know their parents like they think they do. A few months ago. I learned why my father never spoke about his dad. Why my mom was so hard on me. They look out for you...

Me: Adults don't listen to kids...

Them: Trust me. When i say this. You habe that point if view now. But when you get my age that light will start to shine. And everything will be understood.
