Mary Poppins
3/1/19Innocence regained from a childlike bliss
Flooded past memories of times long forgotten
Masked and enveloped by the screeching of responsibilities, unbeknownst to new blue eyes
Of Fresh perspectives tainted too soon by the trials and tribulations of being a being.
Like a suffocating strangling coat of paint
Breaking and bending and breaking,
Until the entirety is massacredLiberty found in a child's movie.
Stamped with a laughable sticker.
Expectations flowing freely, no before judgement and no after consideration.
Deafening cracking of the outer exterior,
Leaving a child beneath its wings.
This is the girl I used to know.
