As I boarded the plane, I could feel my heart racing. It was not my first time on a plane, but it still scared me a little. After saving for 2 years with Rachel, today was finally the day where we could go to one of our dream cities.
The flight was okay, besides Rachel overreacting when we landed, it was fine. As we waited for our luggage, we started planning our short night. It was almost 10 pm when we landed, so we couldn't do much.
"Let's go out somewhere, I don't want to spend our first night locked up in a hotel room." Rachel said while taking her bags and handing me mine, walking our way to the exit door of the room.
"But, where can we go? It's almost 10 pm, do you think something is open right now?" I questioned as I took my phone out for letting my mom and brother now that we landed.
"We can go to McDonald's." She laughed walking next to me, carefully looking down at her phone. "Let's go to the hotel, we'll leave our stuff there and then figure out something."
"Logic, let's do that," I responded while sitting on top of my bigger case. Once our Uber driver picked us up, after 30 minutes we were already on our way to the hotel room. New York was just like the way I imagined it, bright, colourful and fun.
"Are you going to get changed?" Rachel asked as I threw my body to my bed. I covered my face and sighed a little, I was tired, but I was not going to waste my first night in New York laying on the bed.
"Yeah, just let me check something," I said as taking my phone out, opening the Instagram app immediately.
"Do you really think he's going to reply?" I heard Rachel say walking her way to the bathroom, probably to get her makeup done and change.
"Well, he has replied to several people before," I answered to her question with a little smile of hope. I had a couple of direct messages, but unfortunately, Joe wasn't part of them. "I tried, let's get this bread, ladies!" I shouted while getting up, placing my bag on top of the bed, looking for a casual but comfy outfit. Once I had it on, I decided to do a light makeup, since I'm always way too lazy for taking it off. "Rachel come here, let's take a picture!"
