Victoria's POV

"Ew."

"Oh my god."

"Oh my god, ew."

"Oh my god! He has a dog in his satchel! A freaking poodle in the satch!" Alyssa exclaims from the back seat, staring out of the car's window. We were driving down Melrose, in Miranda's Mercedes, on our way to the Capital Records offices. Alyssa has spent most of the time judging the high-end people.

Miranda giggles, looking at Alyssa through the rearview mirror.

"I have to warn you, there is going to be people who are going to be really mean, okay? They might not accept you, and I want you to know that it's not your fault." Miranda looks at me seriously.

This was going to be tough, I could sense it already.

"How mean ?"

"Well it depends which manager you get, Amanda is a doll, maybe a few inconsiderate comments here and there." She smiles. Well, at least there was a nice one.

"Okay, and what if I get the other manager ?" I ask, not really wanting to know the answer.

She sighs, and gives me a worried look, "Well, Jared, he is ruthless. It's nothing personal, it's just who he is. You have to expect the worse when it comes to him."

"Jesus," Alyssa mutters in the back. I thought the same thing Alyssa did.

"Okay, are you guys ready?" She cocks an eyebrow, looking at me hen at Alyssa.

"No, but let's go in," I sigh and open the door. The high waisted black and white striped, slack-like pants I was wearing felt awkward around my thighs. So did the tight white top I was wearing, and the equally tight black cropped blazer I was wearing over the top. Alyssa and Miranda had picked out my outfit, as well as my uncomfortable heels.

It wasn't too formal and sophisticated, but it was more than what I was used to. My hair was in unusually nice loose curls, and my makeup was done, for a change. I really don't want to do this, I really don't want to do this, I mumble to myself as we walk up the stone path to the glass doors.

The only thing that could be heard was my heels clicking on the floor and Alyssa's irregular mumbles of, "woah" and "omg".

Finally, we made it to the top and inside the cool building. Inside, it looked like everything I expected it to look like, white walls, white tables, white chairs, and white desks, actually they weren't white but clear. Everything was very modern, even the receptionists looked very modern, clean, and sophisticated, there was four of them and they all wore neutral colors and had pin straight hair, they looked like creepy clones of each other. Besides their variation in eye and skin tones, they looked the same, it might have been a coincidence, but creepy nonetheless.

"Good morning girls," Miranda chirps at the quadruplets, they return her gesture and return their eyes to the computers in front of them.

We follow Miranda down a narrow hallway that leads into a large, open office room. It was insanely big and had offices circling the three floors of the one room. It had an tall skinny tree in the middle. Very modern.

"It's right up here girls," Miranda says and begins to climb the glass stairs. We follow in astonishment.

She leads us into a big office, where two men are already seated around the big meeting table. One was a big man, who looked to be no older than 40. The other one took me by surprise. Sitting down in the seat next to the big guy, was none other than Calum Hood. I have to hide my surprise, and keep my inner fangirl hidden deep inside of me.
