"time goes by so slowly
and time can do so much
are you still mine?"- unchained melody, the righteous brothers

"I love you."
The words often exchanged between the two passed through Lydia's lips as she pecked the freckled boys mouth over the center console of the all too familiar blue jeep.
"Love you too." The boy repeated the words to the strawberry blonde with a smile as she hopped out of the jeep and onto her driveway. She shut the door before resting her hands on the metal and barely sticking her head through the already open window to send a matching smile back.
"We still on for movie night tonight?" Lydia asked, gazing at the boy.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world, you know that." Stiles said, leaning towards the window his girlfriend was currently speaking to him through, hand still on the steering wheel.
"Oh trust me, I know." The girl said, finally pushing off of the vehicle. "Guess I'll see you tonight then." She flashed another blinding smile at the already love-struck boy, almost making him forget what he was going to say.
"Oh, babe!" Stiles practically shouted, insuring he would get the girl's attention. "There's no way I'm watching 'The Notebook' again. I've already seen that movie enough times to question my manhood. Off limits."
"No Notebook?" Lydia said, turning on her heel to face the boy. "Then I guess that means no Star Wars. Bummer." The girl said, a fake pout on her lips.
"Lydia, baby," The boy started, already watching the girl's retreating form. "Don't do that to me. C'mon!"
Lydia momentarily turned around, shrugging her shoulders, before turning back around and saying "It's already settled! No Star Wars."
Stiles sighed, leaning back in his seat, having trouble fighting off the smile already settling itself on his lips. He shook his head and looked down before shifting the gear to reverse and pulling out of the driveway.

The next time they saw each other was that same night, Stiles walking into the Martin household with his usual haul of chips, ice cream, soda, and of course their traditional Reese's cups. He didn't bother knocking, walking into the house and calling for the Strawberry blonde. She bounded down the stairs, hair tied into a bun, clad in her pajama pants and one of Stiles' many old t-shirts he leant to the girl.
Soon enough Stiles was sat on the couch, bowl of popcorn in his lap and the strawberry blonde nestled into his side. The Breakfast Club was playing on the tv screen, an easy compromise between the two.
The movie was long forgotten to Stiles though, a particular question plaguing his mind. One hand picked at the lint on his pants, the other playing with the girl's hair. Lydia, of course, picked up on his wavering focus and paused the movie.
"Stiles, what's wrong?" The girl questioned, sitting up and detangling herself from him.
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I'm fine, everything's fine. In fact, everything's perfect. I don't know why you'd think anything's wrong-" The boy sputtered out before getting abruptly interrupted by his girlfriend.
"Stiles, You're rambling." She stated, lightly laughing as she said it. "You know you can tell me if something's wrong. What is it?"
Figuring he couldn't really get out of this one, Stiles sat up, deciding to go ahead and ask her. "It's just," He signed and leaned forward on his knees. "It's senior year, everything's going great, hell, amazing, but I can't help but ask myself; is it going to last?"
