This is a story about two miserable souls.

THURSDAY

Ryan's shift was about to end, but KC wasn't there yet, but he didn't care that she was always late he would wait for her a thousand years if he had to, that's how much he loved her. God how he loved that girl, that petite girl, with beautiful black hair and her perfect olive skin she was the epitome of perfection. She was beautiful and had the kindest soul he had ever seen, as well as an artistically spirit, she wrote, draw and acted she was indeed perfect for him. How can a girl like that, pay attention to a guy like him though.

Ryan was kind hearted, skinny yet muscled, and with intense green eyes, he wanted to be a writer he usually read his poems in a bohemian bar every Friday. Girls loved him... Except the girl he loved, which was a torture since she was in his mind every night and day, in every dream and thought; she was his inspiration and his muse. Sadly KC was dating someone else, a jer... I mean Jackson. Oh God Ryan hated him with all his might. The guy didn't know how to appreciate such a woman; he treated her like she was nothing when for Ryan she meant everything.

He was doodling in his notebook when he heard the door open. He hoped it was KC, but it wasn't. It was the owner:

Mister Mikealson, an artist, had hired KC and Ryan to be his baristas in the coffee shop he had bought from his brother. He cared for both of them, Ryan remembered Mr. Mikaelson of his younger self, a pure romantic, and he knew Ryan was in love with KC the girl that was already taken, just like he had been in love with Caroline, who had was once been taken by another man, but eventually Caroline became his wife.

He entered the store with a happy smile and by his side he had his daughter and wife.

-Mister Mikealson great to see you sir, can I offer you anything? - asked Ryan.

-No we have to go, I promised the girls to take them to the fair, I just came to give you this...- he gave him the painting that was wrapped in paper. -If you can please nail it up, I'll appreciate it very much.-

-No problem sir, it'll be my pleasure. -

The door opened again. It was KC with her beautiful smile that lightens up every room. Ryan gaze went straight to her.

-Mr. Mikealson so great to see you, how are you? - She said with her big smile.

Mr. Mikealson smiled back. -I've been good KC, thanks for asking.-

-Well I have to put my uniform on, I'll be right back. - She went into the staff room that was located in the back of the coffee shop. Ryan's eyes couldn't leave her, Mr. Mikaelson smirked and said.

-You should ask her out. It's pretty clear that you like her.-

Ryan was shocked with what he just said and giggled stupidly.

-I don't know what you're talking about sir. And even if I wanted she already has a boyfriend.-

-So did her...- Said Mr. Mikaelson while looking at his wife that was playing with his daughter. - ...but at the end it's the heart that decides true love. You got an amazing woman right there don't miss the chance while you can Ryan.-

Ryan wasn't able to answer; Mr. Mikaelson was calling his wife and daughter so they could leave.

Ryan went to the staff room. There was KC doing her hair in a ponytail. Ryan sighed oh how much he loved her, how he ached to have her in his arms, to kiss her lips, to see her smile after a love making night full of passion and ecstasy. To hear her voice recite her stories and poems written with such devotion and feeling, to see her draw with fervor and delicacy, oh how he envied Jackson, the bastard couldn't see the beauty he had, yet he had her, isn't destiny cruel?
