"Congratulations Amber!", I say to the blushing bride while displaying a big fake smile right before leaving the reception. "Thanks Honesty! I'm so glad you could be a part of my big day." she beamed. Since my mother decided to name me Honesty, I guess I'll start my story off by being completely honest with y'all.

I wasn't really happy for her. No lie I was downright jealous & a little sad. Here I was being a bridesmaid at yet another wedding. I wanted to be a bride for once, but I never quite made it to that point. I mean I've had plenty of relationships, but none that really lasted, even when I thought it was perfect. Now here I am 30, watching my friends get married and have beautiful babies.

I feel like my clock is ticking & I can just hear my mother in my ear making things worse. "Are you gonna give me some grandbabies, or at least one, before your eggs scramble? You need to get you a husband & settle down." As if this isn't something that I already know.

I quickly exit the venue, hop in my car, take off my heels, and head home.
