"That will be all for Geography today, your Highness." The tutor announced, clasping his hands after closing the thick textbook. Elsa nodded as she clasped her hands then thanked her tutor.
After he left, she took a deep breath and looked around the room with an eyebrow raised teasingly. He was here and she knew that, but he was trying to scare her as he usually does.
"I know you're there. Just come out!" I yelled, walking around the room. I could hear his faint chuckle and turned behind. He wasn't there.
"I swear he does- Ah!" I screamed jumping forward as something cold grabbed my sides. I turned around, obviously frightened to only find him on the floor laughing.
"It's not funny!"
"It is a little funny." Pitch responded, wiping his hands. He's just a big meanie, that's all.
Even so, I still enjoy his company. Not being able to see Anna or play with her can get lonely, especially when she sings outside my door. But even if I want to play with her, I can't.
I don't want to hurt her.
Pitch was in the corner, reading my notes. I clasped my hands and quickly made a snowball and threw it at him. He yelped and it was funny. I've never heard his make such a funny sound before. He growled an sent a pillow at me which I dodged.
"You're certainly a mischievous one." He answered me, wiping the rest of the snow off him. I climbed onto the window seat near him and sat down, waiting for him to stop mumbling.
"I'm certainly not mischievous." I answered him, feeling rather proud of my model behavior. I mean, apart from my parents and tutor, I doubt there's anyone else for me to socialize with like this.
"Just like that blasted Winter Spirit." Pitch continued almost as if he was ignoring my previous answer. But Winter Spirit? What did he mean by Winter Spirit?
"What do you mean?" I asked him quietly. He looked down at me, almost as if he was tired of my endless barrage of questions and sighed.
"His name is Jack Frost. He has powers just like yours and he is the most annoying person. He makes a mess wherever he goes. I find it hilarious." Pitch answered my question, but I was more caught up in his name and he said after that.
He has powers just like me.
"Really? There's really someone else with Winter powers?" I asked him excitedly, with my chin resting on my knees.
He liked down at me smiling, he doesn't usually smile at me like that. What was that smile all about?
"Yes. From what I've heard he rides on the wind bringing winter and frosting up other's window panes. If you lucky, he might just nip your nose." Pitch explained looking out the window.
I looked outside too. We were in the middle of winter again and that got my hopes up. Who would not want a friend like Jack Frost?
I want to meet him.
I looked out the window, hoping that I might see him. I scanned each window to see which one had beautiful frosted swirls on them. Though it was difficult to check the villager's windows. I checked every window I could in the palace. Then a thought crossed my mind.
What if he never showed up?
No. No. He wouldn't. He's real.
Even if he did come, he couldn't be friends with you, you who can't even control her own powers.
It's a lie.
You who hurt your own sister.
Stop!
