Okay, so this is going to be a new mini series on when the Tog characters have Christmas
So, this is based off of A Court of Frost And Starlight, which is the Acotar version of what I'm going to write here
Remember to check out my other story, When Fire meets Darkness
Anyway no more selling out, here's the story, hope you all enjoy
Dorian pov
"This feels rather odd" Dorian thought to himself
The prince gazed outside a large, decorated window at the swirling storm outside.
Dorian, of course, knew of the coming snowstorm that could threaten to sink his ships and men on the harbor, so he had recalled them back into the city.
Dorian's brows furrowed
He had invited Aelin and Rowan, along with Aedion and Lorcan and Fenrys to join him during the winter solstice, and that was rather odd for him
It had been so long since he had any sort of celebration, his father being possessed by valg and all had taken all that festive cheer from him.
He turned away from the window to find Chaol entering his room, holding a letter
Dorian tilted his head "Any news?"
Chaol nodded "Aelin and her court is coming"
Dorian smirked "Why so gloomy old friend?"
Chaol raised his eyebrow in response and didn't bother to hide his annoyance
"The Witch is also coming"
That was all Dorian needed to make his day, Dorian cracked a grin from ear to ear
Chaol clenched his jaws tight "Dorian, she is a bad idea, why must you insist on playing with such dangerous creatures?"
Dorian narrowed his eyes "What other dangerous creatures have I played with? I don't recall of being with any beast"
This time Chaol cracked a small grin "Aelin"
"Ah, I guess your right"
Chaol made to leave and was reaching out for the door handle before Dorian stopped him
"Chaol, aren't you going to stay with us for the celebrations?"
Chaol gave a bow "It would be my greatest honor to dine with you, your Majesty"
Chaol clearly knew that he didn't like the term Majesty.Dorian looked at his friend "Don't be a fool, just because I am king doesn't make us unequals, your still my friend in the end"
he just smiled and nodded, leaving the room just as Dorian said "Bring Yrene as well, she wouldn't want to miss the fun"
All Dorian got was a nod.
Dorian looked below at the city as bright lights came out from all the houses and fires were lit. Stores opened their doors with ringing bells, the winter solstice had officially started.
He couldn't say he didn't feel happy
Manon pov
Manon was having problems left and right.
Ever since the war ended the witches had reclaimed the wastes.
Manon had fulfilled her promise to the Iron-teeth legions, to bring them back to the wastes as parts of it had been given back by Ansel of Briarcliff as a gift .
However, that part of the waste's hadn't been touched in years, so the witches were scrambling left and right to repair the once majestic wastes to their former glory
They needed to build the buildings back up, and that would take a LOT of time.
And Manon Blackbeak, Queen of the Crochan witches, was doing paperwork
yes, you heard me right. Paperwork
They were restoring the Waste's at a fast pace, all of them eager to fly up into the sky as they hoped in their dreams
"Curses" Manon thought, gripping the table so hard that it might've broken
Manon was having a splitting headache, she had promised the Witches a better future, and that meant NOT terrorising mortals and ransacking their villages and cities
Petrah Blueblood, heir of the Blueblood's, had a bemused expression while standing in the corner of the room
"Never would I have guessed that the great Crochan queen would get so frustrated over some paperwork for materials" Petrah said, flashing her sharp teeth in a grin
Manon banged her head repeatedly on the table, stopping only when Petrah said "You'll ruin your pretty nose"
Manon glared daggers at her "It's harder than it seems, and usually the king takes care of things like this, not the queen"
If possible, Petrah's grin widened "What about that king of Adarlan your so fond of? I'm sure he wouldn't mind sparing some time to help you from this crisis"
Manon seethed "He would most likely enjoy seeing me squirm"
Petrah walked to the door "You two are always having lover spat's aren't you?"
She left and closed the door before Manon could throw something at her, preferably something sharp.
Manon looked back towards the papers, the witches had never needed to do things like this, so they had no idea what they were doing, perhaps she should pay Dorian a visit after all.
Manon turned around as there was a knock on the door, and she turned around to see a Crochan sentry
"What is it?" Manon questioned, she looked more closely to see a letter clutched in the sentries hand.
"It's from the King, he asks you to join him for the winter solstice"
Manon raised her eyebrows, it was weird since witches never celebrated any traditions, but she took one more look at the papers and gulped.
"What happened to the messenger?" Manon said looking around
The sentry just looked at her as if saying What do you think?
"You didn't eat him did you?"
The sentry rolled her eyes "No, we sent him back , but he looked paper white as if he was going to pass out"
The sentry cackled
Manon grinned "Well let's hope the King has a sense of humor then, send word to all the witches that they will be taking a break for these few days, and tell Petrah to bring all of her friends and come with us"
The sentry bowed "Of course my lady"
So there's the first chapter, I tried my best to get it out earlier but I had a writers block because of tests and crap. 3 tests and 2 projects in the first two weeks back. Can you believe it?! Anyway sorry for the delay but there will be more chapters, so no one worry.
Anyway, thank you all for reading
