"Wait wait wait, by that you mean we're going to fight and be in absolute physical danger!!!!!" I yelled at Peter, he just wore a strait face.
"Yes, we are." He told me in the most serious voice you can imagine.
I stomped over to Peter like a little child who was mad at something and stood in front of him, "How is little old me...who hasn't had any fighting training like you...supposed to go into war???? It takes years of battle training to become a knight...do we have years???? Besides you know how clumsy I am!!! One step in long flowy dress and I fall flat on my face!!"
He had a blank expression on his face that showed he wasn't bothered by my childish behavior, only movement he was making was blinking. Any other day I would have been able to ignore it, but today I could have slapped it off his face very very hard.
Peter told me, "I know, those weapons were made by Father Christmas right?"
"Yea...that's what the note said, but.." I started to say before he put his hand in my face to stop me from blabbering.
I looked at him to give him the proper attention and when he got it, he continued.
"All you have to do is trust in the weapons, believe you can use them and they will work in your favor."
I looked at him in utter frustration as I almost growled but I kept the urge down, he seemed to realize how flustered my face looked because his demeanor changed into something soft and apologetic.
"How ever we will still teach you after we all get changed." Peter quickly said.
I was a very clumsy individual, so the image of me fighting and falling on my face in the middle of a battle wasn't exactly confidence building.
"You know I could die...I'm not graceful at all. I walk into tables at home if I'm not careful!!" I mentioned.
Susan smiled softly as she looked at me, "You'll get used to them, come I will find you a dress."
She walked over to me as she grabbed my hand, she gently took me to my chest. The boys looked through there trunk and went out side the gate while we were inside with the treasures. Susan and I looked through the trunk of odds and ends hoping to find a suitable dress for me, when we pulled out a blue one. There, stuck on the dress was a note, I was actually scared to read it and find out who else from this crazy world knew me. However I was intrigued, that part of me took over.
I carefully took it off the fabric being ever so cautious to not rip the note, I opened it and started to read in my head...
"Dear Christina,
I made this for you a long time ago, in fact I was still holding you in my arms when I was sewing this. My purpose was so that when you came back home, you would be able to wear it and hopefully remember who I am. I hope you love it, just as much as I loved you.
Love, Elizabeth Ackworth"
"Who's Elizabeth Ackworth?" I asked squeezing my locket, I reading it twice to make sure that what I read was correct.
They both shrugged, Susan then seemed to remember something. So she turned to Lucy, Lucy just looked at her curiously.
"Wasn't she the Queen before us?" Susan asked our energetic little sister.
Lucy replied, "I think so, I would have to check again."
I was confused so I asked, "What does that have to do with me? Why did she say she loved me???"
