Deku's POV
I was surrounded by darkness. Everywhere I turned it blanketed everything.

"Hello?"

No answer. Nothing, there was nothing here but me.

After walking for what seemed like hours, I come to an abrupt stop.

"WHERE AM I" I scream

'No response'

I sit down to think about the situation I'm in but as soon as my butt touches the floor, I'm falling.

Suddenly I stop

Disoriented I look around
Only to clash eyes with a boy my age

Unruly ashen hair
And sharp ruby eyes stare back at me

I can't help the feeling of familiarity that blossoms in my chest at the sight of him

And yet my mind remains blank

"Who are you"

He stares at me blankly. Sharp ruby eyes burn through me like they know the very fiber of my being

His mouth moves but I can't hear him

I strain my ears to listen

"izuku"

I hear a barely discernible whisper

Again but louder

"Izuku"

'Huh Izuku. I wonder who that is'

All at once I hear a sweat female voice calling

"Izuku dear it's time to wake up now. Don't you think you've slept enough?"

I know that voice

"Mom?"

Suddenly I sit up

I'm in my bed at home

"Izuku honey, you'll be late to school

"Five more minutes"

I flop back on my bed and close my eyes. When I open them again I'm sitting in a classroom

I turn to look at the people sitting around me but I can't make out there faces

Suddenly I'm surrounded

"You'll never amount to anything you useless deku"

'Why does this sound so familiar'

"Maybe you should pray you'll be given a quirk in your next life and take a Swan dive off the roof"

'Oh that's right I'm quirkless how could I forget'

I turn to leave and everything falls away

Amid the darkness I feel something like fingers carding through my hair

I blink trying to concentrate on the feeling

Everything spins and then I feel a bed under me someone playing with my hair the whir of machines around me

I blink open my eyes only to be met with that all to familiar ash blond

And yet I still have no idea who he is to me

With a shaky voice I manage to whisper

"Who are you?"
