The next day was a lot colder, the weather took a complete U-turn. Rain clouds formed up above, coupled with strong wind. It was not looking good. Midoriya wondered if Todoroki was still coming.

He didn't send her a text today, but he did say that he was going to show up. Maybe I should text him, she thought. She was sitting in her room, looking out through her bedroom window. Her mom walked into her room, "You busy dear?"

Her attention was still focused on the outside, "No mom"

"Well, I'll be attending a community meeting tonight. I'll be back a little late, but around 11pm"

She turned to look at her mom, "But the weather isn't looking so good, are you sure?"

"Don't worry honey, mommy knows how to take care of herself by now. And besides, I don't want to spoil your date with that boy Todoroki"

Midoriya's face turned red, "IT'S NOT A DATE"

Her mom laughed, "Okay okay dear, no need to shout"

"geez mom"

"Just imagine, my daughter a screamer, just what in heavens would the neighbours think"

"MOM! STAHP!"

Her mom couldn't help but laugh at her daughters' embarrassment. Midoriya didn't intend for anything other than a casual fun date, but her she was, freaking out. Why does it have to be me? she thought to herself.

"Anyway dear, I'll see you later. I'm going to meet a friend of mine"

"Take care of yourself mom"

"Love you dear"

She waved her daughter goodbye before leaving. Once she heard the front door close, she got up from her bed, and walked to the kitchen. It was only 2pm, Todoroki would only show up around 4pm. Still, she had some cooking to get done, so might as well start now.

She picked up her apron, and started grabbing ingredients from the fridge. She had asked her mom to leave some meat in the fridge to defrost overnight. Today's meal would be her best, and she was going to make sure of that. She inhaled deeply, then exhaled, tightening her apron.

Time to get started!

The weather was getting bad, luckily Todoroki carried his own umbrella. It wouldn't do any good if he got soaked in the rain. His watch read 04:05pm. From the directions she gave him, he was at least 10 minutes away. The sky darkened, droplets of rain fell from the sky. Lucky me. He opened up his umbrella and started walking a faster.

A couple of minutes later, he was already at her front door. And just in time, as they rain started to come down heavy. He wiped his shoes on the welcome mat, and rang the bell. He heard a bit of shuffling going on inside. Less than five seconds later, he heard the door unlatch, followed by a click, and then the door opened.

"Hey Todoroki, come inside", She pulled him in, and closed the door. "Sorry about the weather, I hope you didn't get wet or anything"

"Not really. I did come prepared anyway"

He dropped his umbrella in the corner. And left his shoes at the entrance. Midoriya led him to the lounge, "Have a seat, dinners almost ready"

"I'm actually a bit thirsty"

"Juice then. Follow me, I'll pour you some"

The kitchen was the only place so far that felt so warm. Most likely because she was cooking. She walked over to one if the top cupboards and pulled out a small glass. While she was busying pouring him a drink, Todoroki looked around the place. He had never been to a girl's house, or anyone's house for that matter.
