The Tutor

Hiccup's POV

 Today was lots of stress in school. So I decided to go to the park and quietly read. You know get my mind relaxed.

 I walked to Pixney Works Park which was HUGE and beautiful. I got there and found a nice big tree to lean on. I sat down, opened my book, and began reading. I was secretly reading The Fault In Our Stars. What? I heard it was a good book.(My favorite book) Right now I was at the part where Hazel and Agustus were at funky bones after Agustus came out of the hospital. 

 I heard some cursing and yelling nearby. I turned around and notice a familiar face. Those chubby cheeks, strong arms, tomboy style, and red curly hair. Merida. She was practicing and was  ranting on how she had missed the target. And apparently she blames the arrow. I rolled my eyes at that thought. 

 She was so angry that she tried to pick up a big rock ,but once she did she yelled "aye me back" as she held her lower back. That was when I couldn't hold it any longer. I had burst out laughing. She turned around with her eyes widen. I'm so dead. I thought as I was now rolling on the grass while holding my stomach from all the laughter.

 She glared at me and said "how long have ye been there" with her thick Scottish accent. "Not long" I said in between my laughter. All she did was glare and roll her eyes as she waited for me to calm down. "Are ye done now" she asked in an annoyed tone. "A-alright I'm done" I said as a wiped away a tear.

 "So wat are ye doin here" she asked me as she raised a brow. "Just doing some reading. You know releasing my stress" I told her as she nodded. School has been stressful for me. With bully's, tutoring, my clubs, and keeping my grades up (which isn't that hard though). 

 "You" I asked as she nodded toward the textbooks. "Aye was doin my home work and den I got bored so I decided to shoot some arrows" she said with a sigh. "Need any help" I asked as I realized what I just said. She is a friend after all. But I came here to relax. I'm sure she will say no. :)

 "Actually, yeah I do need some help" she smiled warmly. I love it when she smiles. Wait what am I saying. There seemed to be a twinkle in her eyes in delight. Why did I not notice how pretty her eyes are. There's that voice again. You shut it she's beautiful in this sunlight. Ewwwwww no.

 My thoughts have been fighting against each other in my head. Giving me a headache. I groaned as I touched my forehead. "Are ye okay" she asked with a worried tone. Aww Merida cares. "I do not" she protested. My eyes widened as she giggled and said "lets just say you like to think out loud." I blushed a bit and scratched the back of my head as she giggled even more.

 A smiled at her adorable giggle. "Are we gonna study or not" she asked as I was startled and quickly nodded.  "Well den get your butt over here" she said as she wave her arm to her direction. I sat with her and began looking at her textbooks. "Science, math, and English" I said as she nodded.

 "You" I said as we were having trouble with English. How can someone have trouble in English when we speak it? "Ye" she said making me face palm. "Ye know my teacher doesn't care bout my accent. All I needed to do is a essay." she said in a duh tone. "Would you like me to tutor you or nah" I said as she hesitated and said "Yes, just not in English" she said as I thought nice comeback. 

 "Alright then what would you like to do first science or math" I asked as she thought about it. "Ehh...Math" she said finally. We seemed to have a great time. I would ask her question and she would either say the answer, wrong answer, protest, or something funny that makes us both giggle. To be honest I wished it would last forever. I didn't even notice that it had been 2 hours already.

 I checked my phone and it was already 5:30. I got here at 3:30. Wow. "Its pretty late isn't it" she said as I noticed her head over my shoulder looking at what I was doing on my phone. "I guess it is we should probably head home" I said sadly why did it have to end. "Are ye kidding, I'm having a great time with you Haddock" she said as she smiled after making me smile back.

 "How bout we go get some ice-cream as a thank you for the tutoring me. My treat" she said with a another warm smile of hers. "Sounds good to me" I said as I smiled back. In the outside all I did was smile but in the inside all I wanted to do is jump up and down screaming 'YES'.

 We had went in, got our ice-creams, and then sat at a table outside. I noticed Merida starring at the stars and mouthing 'wow'. I chuckled at that. "Ye know I always enjoyed watching the stars with my mum and dad back den when aye was young." she said quietly as if the memories were coming back to her. 

 "Merida, I seriously enjoyed this afternoon. For now on whenever I'm stressed I'll know who to go to" I said as she giggled. "And now aye know who to go to for tutoring" she said with a wink. For some reason I felt my heart skip a beat. 

 We finished our ice-creams and decided to walk to her house first. We laughed and had a good time during the walk. I've never been this happy before. We stopped on her porch that was outside her house. "Well that was quick" Merida said as I chuckled. "We should do this again" she said as I gleamed with joy. "Defiantly" I said with a smile as she smiled back. 

 "Well goodnight" she said said as she looked away avoiding glances. "Goodnight" I said as she kissed me on the cheek and went inside before I could say a word. "And sweet dreams my angel" I yelled so she could hear. I heard a giggle from the other side of the door as I smiled at that. "Woohoo" I yelled as I jumped in the air in joy.
