Chapter XV

JENNIE'S POV

I sober up after our conversation or should I say my confession. I closed the door and my tears started to pour down my face. This is the longest night of my life.

I let myself cry a lot behind this door. I was on the floor letting my emotions turn into tears, I also need to breathe. I need to get it out of my system so I could breathe freely.

Lisa is getting married, but she told me she still loves me too. We did what we need to do, I believe. We are not the teenagers before. We grew a lot. But things are just really different now even we still love each other this is a whole new story now.

I still love her, I really do and it hurts me seeing her with someone else.

We do still love each other but the thing is .. love isn't enough.

The next thing I knew I was already laying on my bed and my clothes aren't the same. My head hurts when I tried to stand up I almost tripped but luckily someone was there on time to catch me.

"Lisa .." I mumbled.

"It's alright. You'll be fine." She said and smiled sweetly.

Damn her smile is perfect. She's guiding me to sit on my bed. My eyes started to fill with my tears and she looks at me confusedly.

"Why are you crying, Jennie?" she asked.

I touch her face to know if she's real. I felt her warm. "I just .. I just can't imagine that you are here." I said to her.

"I'm always here for you." She told me.

I hugged her really tight but then .. she was gone...

"Lisa?" I called her.

"Where are you?" I said as I roamed my eyes around the room as it becomes empty. I was alone in my room.

"Lisa please answer me .." I said crying..

Until I felt someone shaking me.

"Jisoo?" I said as soon as I opened my eyes.

"You were dreaming." She said to me.

I am still lying on the floor near my door. It was just a dream.

"What happened to you?" Jisoo asked me worriedly. "You look terrible. I'm sorry, I was so wasted last night I forgot to check up on you, Jen." She said sorry.

"N-no I-I am fine. I got drunk a-and really wasted but I am fine." I assured her.

"You know that I know you too well, right? What happened? Tell me." She said while sitting on the floor with me.

"I said I'm fine. Don't worry about me okay?" I said to her.

"Lisa and Megan are already gone. They leave early. Lisa look shit when they left the same way you are now. I am not trying to investigate here but .. I just can't help it I am worried. You guys are obviously still into each other." Jisoo stated.

"Chu, stop it. Lisa is getting married. She's getting married." I said and those words repeated on my brain continuously.

"Is this why you are like that?" she looks at me with pity.

"W-we talked." I said almost in a whisper.

"I mean we had a little chat." I added.

Jisoo scoots over me and hugs me as I tell her everything.

Christmas did not go well but I was hoping for New Year to be at least a little better. We are at the grocery store again hoping we did not see them again. We're not buying something for New Year, we are just here at the grocery for our everyday needs. In fact we are going to celebrate New Year at Rosé's place. I still hope that Lisa and Megan wouldn't be there but hello, Lisa and Rosé are best friends so I am hoping for something impossible. Great.
