Chapter XXI

JENNIE'S POV

While Jisoo and I are on the floor we heard someone knocks on the door. It made me stop from sobbing and look at the way of the door.

"You go get dress and I'll see who that is." Jisoo ordered to me.

"No, that might be the man threatening my life. We'll open the door together. I'll just get dress for a second." I said seriously.

While I am dressing I heard the door opens. "Jisoo?" and called Jisoo out of frustration. She's not around.

"Jisoo!" I shouted in the room.

The door of my room opened. "Jennie, it was just Kai." Jisoo told me and they are both standing in front of my door.

"I told you that we should open it together! What if the person behind the door wasn't Kai?" I glared at her because I was nervous and I don't want her to get hurt.

"Sorry." Jisoo mumbled.

"What is happening?" Kai asked us completely lots in what we are talking about.

"There's a man th—" Jisoo was about to tell him but I cut her off.

"It was nothing." I said.

"I don't think that is nothing, when Jisoo opened the door she was holding a frying pan like she's about to attack me geez, what are you guys up to?" he said out of confusion. "Are you both high?" he added as he chuckles nervously.

Jisoo and I exchange glances and sigh at the same time.

"Do you know someplace we could stay?" I blurted out.

"You know I am just living a few steps away from your room, right? why?" he asked.

"It's happening again," I said as I grip the hem of my shirt.

"What do you mean? The thing that happened six years ago? You said the culprits are already in jail and the mastermind is dead, how come it is going to happen again?" He said in disbelief.

"We don't know, Kai. There's a man right there watching Jennie and Lisa using his binoculars then suddenly someone called Jennie threatening her life once again." Jisoo explained to him.

"Why are you with Lisa? Did she sleep here?" Kai hissed at me asking me like we are in a fucking relationship.

Well, yes we had a little moment back at Christmas but we never talk about it. In fact, after Christmas, we never saw or talk to each other again.

"It was a long story." I inhale deeply.

"Are you gonna help us?" Jisoo asked him.

Kai looks at me and I could see he is trying to read my mind this time, his eyes were dull. Is he mad at me?

"You know what Jisoo I think we shouldn't drag Kai here. I mean I don't want him to be in danger like I did to you so le—" Kai cuts me off.

"I'm helping you." He said.

"Are you sure?" I asked him.

"Of course. I know a place where no one knows and you guys can live there for the meantime while we are planning how are we going to catch that culprit." He explained to us.

"What do you mean by we?" I asked him. "Kai you don't need to help us to find this person, giving us a shelter is enough. Lisa will be with us." I explained to him.

"But .." he said, he really wants to help us but I don't want him to. I can't drag another innocent life here.

I look at him intently. "Alright." He sighed in defeat.
