When she got home, she went straight to her bed.
Was the whole thing just a dream? Was her mother really apart of this? Was she really meant to be a Protector?
All these questions floated in her head, swooping around like birds. The worst part was that it was nighttime, so she couldn't go back into the domain. Mira told her that people could only enter at noon (the time she entered), sunrise, and sunset. Now that Hate was surrounding the domain and infiltrating it, there were only auspicious times that a Protector could enter. She'd have to wait until tomorrow morning to enter again and get more answers.
Still, Emmy couldn't sleep.
So restless she stayed.
Tomorrow, she'd start to help protect, and like everyone who starts a new job, she was feeling anxious. And not just because she was afraid to mess up and cause a riot. She was going to help a fight, one against a strong enemy, Hate. Was she really ready?
She'd have to wait and see.
